Are they (his family) based in WA?
only 2nd hand rumour but i think they stayed in WA while he came to adelaide and they are happy to go to melb but not adelaide

suggestion is that his partner ruled out living in radelaide
Outrageous!! What's wrong with living in Adelaide? Sure it's got no life, no energy, a shit zoo, a CBD with absolutely no charm and could've been taken from Footscray, nothing to really look at other than a cricket ground, no jobs, is boring as ****, no decent bands tour there, a shitload of Churches and two of the biggest muppet clubs in the AFL are from there.
Other than all that what's wrong with Adelaide?

Honestly I prefer Adelaide over Melbourne now, I think little old Adelaide is charming and it has changed a lot over the last 10 years. Each to their own though!

I Never missed Melbourne til I moved away for a few years. We really have a great city here, easy to take it for granted

I used to hate Adelaide and love going for trips to Melbourne, now I'd rather stay in Adelaide haha.

Only reason I go to Melbourne now is to see Essendon play.

Like I said each to their own, Adelaide just suits me better :D

I'd choose Hobart if I was going small town, love that place! History, Water, 10 mins to a mountain and bushland, top food...

Actually never been to Tassie, really want to go though!

Melbourne's the best large city in Australia (excluding Adelaide where I've never been). So pleasant I've been to Melbourne more times than Hobart. Shits on Sydney or Brisbane. Perth is most charming too, aside from the swarming insects.

Everyone talks about the laneway culture , it's not something you can create or replicate, it has to happen organically by accident. Those laneways were shanties. Squats where you would never go for fear of being stabbed or mugged by a junkie or pissed on.

You couldn't give that land away which made it cheap enough for bohemia to move in and take risks. Next minute it's gentrified and a pumping sub culture that we can be proud of

Concur with Howard. Hobart and Tassie in general is awesome. I only had time to tour the south though.

Nothing you can do about eagle supporters unfortunately.

Cheap land, good trout fishing and they could use the genetic diversity. Too bad there aren't any jobs.

Adelaide surprised me - I imagined a larger, more bucket-bong Geelong of ten years ago where life is nasty brutish and short. Nice place actually - despite their muppet clubs.

I visited Adelaide with Glenn Ridge. I was working as his camera assistant filming the Classic Adelaide Rally.

I'm still not sure what to make of the whole thing.

Sydney, and to a lesser extent, Brisbane are fabulous cities IMO. Depends on where you are, time of year etc. Have lived in both and loved it.

Ever tried driving around Adelaide? 60 speed limits to get to most suburbs.

I'm from Melbourne but live in Cairns. Cairns has better roads than Adelaide.

It's in South Australia.

Essendon coaching director Neil Craig has reportedly left the club, with reports also suggesting that he is on the way to Carlton to assist new senior coach Brendan Bolton.

Just saw this on a AFL FB page I follow.
