Walker, Lynch, Jenkins, Jacobs

How is that any different to:

Dixon, Schulz, Ryder, Westhoff
Works for them doesn't it?

He's a fair dinkum moron. Likes to talk with authority but has none. He's a Muppet who dramatises to justify his existence. Just a Vanilla journo at best.

Absolutely. It's so sad that every single time he's introduced by Garry Lyon, he referrs to him as "the best in the business." I haven't really worked out if he's trying to convince the viewers/listeners or himself. Probably both.

At least Lyon always ends up ribbing him about what prediction he's gotten completely wrong this week.

In which barrett is all "i just report what I'm told."

Nice to see old mate barrett doesn't have sour grapes over the schulz/freo intrigue.

Damo: 'Schulz is being squeezed out so port can fit dixon into their bursting cap!'

*Shulz Re-signs. There is much rejoicing*

Damo: As if they'll be able to work together anyway. Gosh!

Another glass of vinegar, Damo? :p

I didn't know trade week was already upon us?

Haha what a load of shit.

Where did you find that. Trolling for sure. Trade week hasn't started, and that is a laughable suggestion.
Comes from the afl website on this article. Huge amount of speculation, I can see where the Suns would be coming from but the article doesn't say they have asked for 2 first-rounders, instead the writers, Nick Bowen and Peter Ryan have guessed that is what they will ask for. Would hope that by the start of trade week they will have sorted it out. Maybe we can toss in a gourd as well to sweeten the deal. :D

In all honesty, is our first round pick and either of Andrew Moore/Aaron Young/Kane Mitchell completely unrealistic?

You can't yeah, theyll be asking for our first rounder and 2nd next year which is fair really. This guy could complete us.

I'd do that

I heard somewhere you can't trade away two no.1 draft picks in a row.

You heard wrong. Clubs can trade two first round picks. If a club trades the next year first round pick it can't trade any more picks from that draft.

Two first round picks for Dixon is absurd. He's good but that is Judd territory.

A few weeks ago the Suns were claiming that Dixon has physical issues such that it would be difficult to even get him playing 75% of the games in a season. And now they're asking for 2 first round picks?

Under no circumstances should we give up 2 first rounders, that is just flat out ridiculous. He's a good player, but he's not worth the sun and the stars, otherwise the Suns would have made a far greater effort to keep him in the first place!

Give up a first rounder, maybe give up a lower tiered player (in the Moore, O'Shea, Young, Mitchell category) as well. Do not give two high draft picks away though, especially when we did the same last year. If we keep doing the same, we will have a big hole in our list development such that in a few years down the track, we're not going to have ready made players to come in and play well. The draft is the biggest key for any club to not only rebuild, but to sustain success once you have a squad that is going to challenge and contend for a flag.

To be honest pick 10 is slightly overs for dixon... GC are lucky they are getting that.

Mitch Clark to Melbourne for pick 12 in 2011 is the benchmark. Statistically almost equal at the same age, almost identical physical attributes.

We pay any more than pick 10 (2 picks better than 12 due to us getting Ken and Hart) and it's pretty much overs.
