Freo will end up with Jack Watts.. It's next to impossible to recruit tall forwards to commit to WA sides if they have another option. The travel just puts them off Freo can tell you how that have offered 100k a year more than offers that have been accepted by other players that have choosen other clubs. Travel is a major problem when you have fight the option of staying in Victoria. We possibly suffer a little from that as well and it's only a one hour flight and 30 minutes time difference to Melbourne every second week.

Fremantle have the highest salary cap by virtue of the number of veterans on their list. With Pavlich, Sylvia and Mcpharlin gone they'll have a bit to play with, but
a) they're getting McCarthy
