Like a lot of us, I'm not too fussed with the potential recruiting of Howe. It could be genius, or it could be a bust. Only time will tell.

What I am concerned about is our need for a pure small forward/goal sneak. We haven't had one since Didak and Leon Davis.
Any ideas on who we should be targeting? Or do you think Hine and co will look to pick up a youngster in the draft?

Any thoughts would be appreciated.

We definitely need to focus on this area, absolutely killing us at the moment.

We were blessed in 2007 to 2010 with Medders, Leon, Dids & Daisy

Hoping we can snag a youngster if we aren't targeting a ready made one.

I am not so sure we will need much else besides Kennedy.

Reason being is that it appears Howe wants us. They can do the "bigfooty" strategy of not trading him and letting get to draft. Would anyone pick him up and melb get nothing? We would also lose nothing if nobody picks him.

Howe should be our last priority in this trade period.

If we get Howe, Elliott and Fasolo need to start learning how to crumb otherwise the ball is bounce away like a trampoline once it hits the deck.

Looks good on paper with "x-factor" but I don't rate it as a forward line. Not nearly enough speed, non-existent crumbing and virtually zero defensive pressure. At least with Blair and Goldsack you can say they chase hard.

Surprised we don't go with a ground ball player or back in Pendles, DeGoey, Broomhead or Swan to play as a high half forward.

I'm hoping that there is always one of these two, or Sidey in the F50.

Would prefer Kennedy to stay, I reckon its only a matter of time before he starts to replicate VFL form in the AFL, its not like he has has a really good crack at it and some players do take a bit longer.

I gave up on him the day I saw him get knocked about like a pinball, he's not like Blair who is a tiny tree stump and hard to move, he just gets brushed aside and he doesn't look like he can get much bigger to offset that.

Collingwood is run by professionals, not anxious bf posters. You don't rush with negotiations, you make an offer then sit back and wait for them to blink. Hine etc know what they are doing, we will get our targets and we will get them at a reasonable price.
