Gee Jay Clarke finally came up with the two seconds = one first points-wise theory. Thinks Essendon should swap 2 second round picks for pick 8 from GWS.

I came up with that idea for us to do probably this time last week.

I should be a journo.

Surely if any team tries to broker that deal they'll have to be giving GWS well in excess of the 1551 points pick 8 is worth.
1900-2300 would seem about right.

And it would, I'd hope, go to the highest bidder otherwise they (GWS) are essentially playing favourites with some other club.

Really unless the points increase is substantial and needed it's probably best they just keep it rather than let one team substantially improve their draft position isn't it?

Ideal scenario as a club wanting to improve your first pick in a draft would be: you finish trading and intend to upgrade two rookies on your list and trade every pick possible except the last two rounds for the highest pick you can get. Thoughts?

I don't think Steele should be relied on as a crumbing forward, I'm also not as sold on Swanny in this role either.

Aish and Treloar certainly gives us flexibility to use them around the ground but I'd like a specialised crumbing forward. I'd be even happy to look around the state leagues and throw a lifeline to a speculator.........a skinny Charlie Cameron type would be fine

I have been thinking for awhile that I'm currently stuck in some sort of Days of Our Lives twilight zone moment where after 1000 episodes (pages) I turn the tv back on and guess what NOTHINGS CHANGED.
