I hope so champ for his well being

Chris is young man that had a tough year - shit happens he will be fine just needs to drink some cement and be shown some love.
Yarran's character is fine... even Malthouse said in presser when Yarran hit Chappy "It was out of character"

Yaz is a good solid kid. :thumbsu:

This is brilliant. An opportunity to lower ones IQ and converse with the common folk. How many days are left?

Please tell me that Carlton aren't so petty as to knock back the deal because of a 1 pick downgrade difference from what Hawthorn were apparently offering and what we have offered.

This is about the 10th time I have seen this tonight, did Carlton come out and say they would accept 18?
Or is this more about " We demand that you hand over Yarran for 19 or we will get very angry and stomp our feet, how dare you not accept we have decided it's fair "[/QUOTE]

They hear voices.

I thought it was strange this morning when I saw we enquired about Jack Steele. Obviously looking at options should Yarran not come to Richmond. Will be an interesting final couple of days.

Would love Jack Steele amongst our GWS "rejects" - he will be a gun!!!!!

WOW you need to stop what you think is right and learn how contracted players can still hold clubs to ransom, now if everything you say is true and correct, why aren't you guys talking to Hawthorn if they are offering a better pick? I will tell you why....

Yarran has said deal with Richmond and Richmond only or I will stay on your list and not play one effffing game and then walk out as a FA in 2016 and you will get effff all for me. THATS HOW HE IS HOLDING THE CLUB TO RANSOM AND STILL USING HIS CONTRACT. GOD DAMMIT ARGHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH

This.......

Again, what's actually been said? For all we know SOS only said no because he wants a lower pick thrown in for good measure and was busy with the Menzel & GWS deals. We all know a deal will get done, folks need to wait for something to actually happen before getting all hot and bothered about it!
That he rejected 19. Which is as fair as it gets.

Then may God have mercy on his soul.

Why? The club will back him in to win himself a 500k + contract end of year. Money talks - wave the potential incentive to their face and watch them shine

You just speculated on a whole lot of stuff rather than acknowledge you were wrong.

Do you think Yarran is prepared to stay on our list and not play? Do you think he wants that?

Do you think Carlton are the ones wanting to get rid of Yarran or is he the one wanting to leave.

If you are following the play, you will see that Carlton have had offers and have not taken them. Who do you think is waving the contract around here? Yarran or Carlton?

We didn't want him to leave in the first place. We stated he was required. We stated he has a contract and unless we get something good for him, we would not trade him.

Yes, he is holding the club to ransom by selecting only one suitor but we're the ones using the contract here, make no mistake. He's gone off early and now would be sweating bullets hoping this gets done. Carlton .... cool as cucumbers.

Yes because the players are the ones working out the trades.
Also if you haven't noticed, at this current time Richmond have got 1 player, Carlton have got 0.

Clearly you haven't been paying any attention.

Thats because we actually want picks not players Einstein.

Carlton doesn't fail to deliver when a player nominates the club. Kernahan, Diesel, Rice, Docherty, Judd, we just never fail to deliver.

Maybe its in our club song.

With all the champions they like to send us
We'll keep our end up.

Stop living in the past this attitude is only hurting your club

Mediation isn't binding. It's just there to help find common ground.

Let's take away some of the identity of it for a minute.

x club wanted to give up Pick 31 for a player y who wants to leave z club.
z club and player y mutually agree that change is needed.
z club wants to acquire Pick 12 for player y.

The middle ground between mid-1st round and mid-2nd round is generally late 1st-round/early 2nd round.

x club acquires Pick 19, end of 1st round pick, in order to come to a compromise.
z club refuses, and still demands Pick 12.

In this situation, z club is being a dick, and if z club was Richmond and not Carlton, you'd be saying that Richmond are complete **** wits for being so petulant.

If a quality, contracted Richmond player wanted out, and they had been under-performing at the club as well, and it was clear that Richmond were never going to see his potential fulfilled, I'd be more than happy at a trade such as the one offered for Yarran.

Mediation will come to the same conclusion that I have come to, and Carlton will become a laughing stock and create a poor reputation for themselves at the trade table, if they don't accept the very fair deal.

Old SOS is showing what a complete and utter hypocrite he is. Wants pick 12 for Yarran because he is contracted but expects the Giants to give up:

Plowman - taken pick 3 - contracted until 2016
Sumner - taken pick 10 - contracted until 2016
Lamb - taken pick 21 - contracted until 2016
Phillips - rookie pick - contracted until 2017

For nothing more than pick 28, a pick they are going to get by trading away yet another of their goal kicking options, in the draft. That is 3 former first round picks who are all contracted and that the Giants don't want to trade and could all potentially be best 22 players for Carlton next year.

Carlton last on the on field ladder but a clear first in the flogs off the field ladder.
