Since we picked up rejects like chad morrison, cameron wood, quinten lynch, clinton young, etc and always just missed on getting big name to the club. Dont get me wrong treloar will get to the pies but the pies have made an absolute mess of this deal with the giants. Giants obviosly pissed at the way we handled this and trying to drag this out. Also the aish trade could fall over with only one day left to go
I see it differently to you. I think Treloar was probably 50/50 headed to Bichmond and the Pies worked hard for a long time to convince him to come our way. These things don't happen in the 2 weeks of draft week. Time and effort from all involved, including Bucks and Hine was masterful to get their man and fulfill the needs of our future list.

So much for GWS not trading today. Lol. May mean Treloar deal will follow, as we were waiting for this trade to happen.

His probably referring to treloar when he said that because thats the big deal, no one cares about that deal with Carlton, i really hope this helps the Trealor deal become complete

I'd say it's because of the fact that both the Treloar and Aish trades were effectively done "in principle" a long time ago? Especially Treloar. These two deals should realistically have been knocked out of the way last week.

Like I said, I still think our deals were intentionally held off, but that's just me. I don't think it's the "mess up" thing personally.

Why would Hine do this though? He know's Treloar is going to Collingwood and it will cost two first rounders and he will get change. If he goes early the picks GWS have to give in return are limited he waits and he can almost take his pick of a few second round picks GWS will now have. Might be the difference between pick 28 and 19.

Can someone explain how the swans gave up craig bird and pick 14 to end up with pick 24??? Unless i missed something

Need to look at the points value of 14 relative to the picks they've brought in, would likely be improving their situation although the AFL only allows for marginal improvement.

Whilst having no real idea, based on this and previous trade weeks our MO seems to be to negotiate a rough trade value pretty early and then spend the rest of trade week negotiating with a range of other clubs to try to eek out maximum value by making slight adjustments to the deal. If this is the case, I've got no issues with it.

What you just said is 'opinion' nothing more

^ It really makes me feel depressed about this board when the anti-collingwood troll from St Kilda is making more sense than the locals.

Richmond trying to trade 12 to Port for Lobbe. Rejected by Power.

Tigers you can have Witts for 12!

Also thought Dees move up to 3 is to bid that on GWS academy player Kennedy. GWS would really need our pick 7 then if they also want Hopper.
