I think the key is that the AFL need to stop hedging their bets and commit to one side or the other. Either ban illicit drugs altogether, test for them and actually introduce a threatening drugs policy, or allow them and let clubs deal with it if it becomes a problem.

I'm in favour of the latter but I am well aware of the issues of such a policy also.

I'm with you on that. From mine, it's hard to comprehend stuffing up a well paying job playing footy by doing party drugs when there are so many other things to do but I'm probably just out of touch.

Might be easier to just go after PED's.
