Mattdougie you and I are very much on the same page. Very occasionally you'll get a tiny bit from Crawf or Bill but you generally watch for Sammy and the trouble that ensues.

NRL footy show died as soon as Matty Johns left. Can't stand the NRL show know, Beau Ryan is an absolute tool bag, and the rest are just no good anymore.

Both shows keep using the usual dozen or so panellists which makes it pretty dull as well.

The Monday Night with Matty Johns show on Foxtel is gold if you like your rugby league like myself.

Was brilliant it just made the show!!! Just had so much more of a light-hearted feel about it. Just seemed less scripted and more relaxed and that made it more appealing to viewers.

The only thing worse than The Footy Show is the amount of people who enjoy jumping on their high horse and virtue signaling to others that they'd never watch that terrible terrible show.
I get it you think the show is tired and beneath you but can someone at some point be able to mention something about it without a bunch of people (sadly it's often guys that I mostly really like and respect) jumping at the chance to tell anyone that'll listen about how shitty it is?

I thought it was solid (when you're getting that much of the contested ball you're influencing the game) but at the same time nothing at all spectacular, but all the "clear BOG" and "should've been in team of the week hands down" stuff going on on the main board is making me doubt my assessment.

His disposal is horrendous. He has the ability to be like Liberatore on the inside but nowhere near the class on either foot that Liberatore has.

Viney can find the football though but I reckon he has a lot of small man syndrome. Just seems to be a little angry ant who doesn't think when he uses it. He's the kind of player who isn't going to do a whole lot of damage even with 40 disposals. Good for supercoach though.

He's a poor mans Callan Ward. He's as hard at the contest at anyone and racks them up. But as Dogsman said, his disposal is really below average. I've also never seen a bloke register under 100 SC points while registering 32 possessions.

I am always a little concerned for anyone who would willingly watch TV wrestling and I'd be greatly concerned if I were to learn that they thought it was actually real. However, all my friends are a little concerned because I willingly watch footy so I can understand how you feel.

I'd say I'd feel sorry for Rebecca Maddern having to put up with the idiots on that show but she's willingly walked into it. I'd give it about ten minutes before Sam Newman cracks onto her or makes an inappropriate comment to her.
