If he goes to Sixers they have Noel, Okafor, Embiid (if he ever gets healthy) and Saric (if he comes over), adding Simmons to the mix means you have 5 players for two positions, only one of which (Saric), has any range. It's going to be a mess, they will end up playing Simmons at the 3 with no shooting, on offense it will be a case of welcome to LSU in the NBA.

The 76ers plan amounts to stockpiling assets (almost entirely centers) and hoping that they get the number one pick in a year where there is a LeBron James or Kevin Durant type talent. They'll eventually trade some of those assets for more speculative picks. It's nothing more than a gamble.

After three years of being the worst organisation in the NBA, they have very little to show for it. Noel and Okafor have the potential to be good players but they don't fit together. Embiid appears surplus to needs but would only yield cents in the dollar.

Both Simmons or Ingram will help. No doubt about that. But with a lackluster supporting cast the best-case scenario for the 76ers is that they might be the Timberwolves three years from now.

I'm hoping he goes 76ers because I'll be in Philadelphia for a few days in November.

The Lakers should have an easier time rebuilding now that Kobe is gone. It's not a bad situation to be in, particularly with Walton coming on board as coach. Boston would have been amazing.

Simmons is a bad fit for both rosters, I can't see how either of the organisations could pick him without trading their current front court players.

76ers should pick ingram if they don't move any front court players. Would lakers gamble on bender/another player instead of simmons? Although bender is a big, apparently he has good range/shooting and passing
