Just wanna say...Being a Queenslander in Melbourne and a SUNS fanatic! The amount of whining and complaining about GC/GWS Academy selections is over the top! If you look at Essendon/Carlton/Collingwood and the Western Bulldogs and the number of father/son Selections over the past 5-6 yrs its massive! Sorry Vic clubs but we are young Clubs and if you haven't noticed, we can't get F/S for a very long time!!

EDIT: I found the answer to my own question. It's actually on Fox Sports 3 at 1:30pm AEST. The 11:30am bounce is based on Perth time.

Do you genuinely think there's a possibility they are going missing in games on purpose? Surely you'd want some kind of guarantee from the Suns if you were going to do that...Good to see Bowes and Scheer keeping it in 3rd gear

They have a guarantee from Ashcroft based on what Corkie told us when he spoke to him at the member's night. The guarantee is greater the more they fall down the draft boards with mediocre performances.

Actually makes Clayton's job harder as he may or may not have the list spots available to draft up to 6 top 30 kids.
Didn't Eade say we are getting rid of all the deadwood and bringing in depth. Surely we cut 6 or so list cloggers plus Danny Stanley

Corkie said that we were only looking to draft 3 players and were looking at trading in 3 established players.
By the time the draft comes round you can't really be guessing if you will be getting 4 or 5 players in, plus it would be a travesty if we had to leave a top 30 pick on the table.

The reality is Bowes just may have been overrated based on his performances against poorer div 2 quality players.
Still draftable of course, but he's nowhere near pick 1 right now.

It's 1 thing saying we want 3 established players..
But remember what happened last year.
Howe and Seedsman were ours..

Dodged two spud gun pellets there. Matt Rosa and Currie have been far more astute selections.
I rate the NEAFL over the TAC cup, playing against bigger bodies is better than 17-18 year old kids. Bowes played against Brisbane as well so that includes AFL listed players.
