Thank god we finally got to see what the Starks and the North are all about.

That whole battle was just grim and sadistic and dirty. It was perfect. The South are all about gallantry and valor and that jazz, and when you've got Knights in full plate like the Vale that all makes sense. But the North is the most violent place in Westeros, and its cold and unforgiving - perfect battle thematically.

And Jon and Sansa showed the psychotic savagery that House Stark is known for, and how they've kept psychos like the Umbers and Boltons in line for thousands of years.

The Starks really arent good people, and Ned was not representative of the House in a lot of ways, because he was raised in the Vale to be noble and valiant etc.

Sansa in particular. What a badass.

Little finger well placed here...

I can see Cersei getting it next week, and LF brokering peace between Jamie and Jon.

He was sadistic to the end. He knew killing Wun Wun was going to hurt Jon more.

That's how I read it.

I wish there had been more emphasis on how ****ing cool The Knights of the Vale were; we spent too much Vale time seeing how fukt up Robyn and his Mum were, instead of learning about how powerful and baller they were as a military.

They have a cool castle. As opposed to Winterfell which is a glorified stableyard.

Wun wun :'(

1. Battle of the bastards
2. Hardhome
3. The Watchers on the Wall

Still Hardhome for me. Tonight was great but not as visually good to watch. Whether it is the bleakness, mud, complete grey of all participants but while it was an awesome battle and lovely result, just didn't have the "f**k me wow factor" of Hardhome as a visual spectacle.

Actually something Ramsey said when he was tied up about sansa, Did he hint that he made Sansa preggers?

Or am i reading too much into it?
I thought he went in there other way :drunk:

Brilliant episode. The size of Drogon though...

I was worried about a typical GoT turnaround, particularly when he took his eye off Ramsay to look at Sansa. My mind went back to the Mountain/viper duel and how that ended.
Ditto, Kept thinking the whole battle scene.... This is GRRM, he fks with our emotions, Jon's every chance to lose, or sir davos or Sansa are goona get it.

****en told ya they were cool hey. Each one of their knights looked like a miniature tank on horseback.

Compared to the Northern Heavy Cav who were still wearing leather on unarmoured horses.

Stannis has been dead for some time. Do you mean Sir Davos?

That was special.

Watched Macbeth a little while ago, and whilst watching that I thought this is what GoT needs. Bastards wasn't quite that, but shared some characteristics, and easily a pantheon television moment.

The only thing working against it was how telegraphed it was, which is why I'd rate Hardhome because that was a genuine oh my ****ing god moment.

Hard home for me too.

This ep was awesome, but HardHome, I reckon I sat there in shock for ten minutes.

Makes you wonder why they didn't even show the Battle of the whispering wood in Season 1.

Budget back then wouldn't been tiny compared to now.

Drogon is badarse.

I was actually more wowed by the Dragons this episode than the battle. Its like finally a payoff after 6 seasons, Danaerys genuinely, finally, has three WMD's she can threaten everyone with.

Also read this prediction on reddit and shat bricks super hard:

The Red Wedding was orchestrated by three men: Tywin Lannister, Roose Bolton and Walder Frey. At the Red Wedding, they shot Robb with arrows, stabbed him, and after they were done with her son, they slit Catlyn's throat. Ever since, Tywin's son shot him with a crossbow, and Roose's son stabbed him just like Roose stabbed Robb. This leaves Walder Frey, and to complete the trifecta of karmic justice, he'll get his throat slit by his own son. These deaths all happened or will happen in their own homes too, due to their disregard for guest right. I bet one of Walder's sons kill him early in the next season, although I'm hoping for the son to slit his throat, and then unmask to reveal herself as Arya Stark, who's back to killing the people on her list.

Gotta say I expected Ramsay to pull something out of the hat, something left of field. I knew Sansa would return with some sort of help, but had the feeling Ramsey was going to win the battle somehow.

I was wron and it was great to see Jon Snow smash his face in, and then the hounds feeding on him. Ramsey in that scene knew he was a goner, even though he tried to convince himself his hounds wouldn't attack him, he absolutely knew they were starving and ready to feast.

Also looks like Little Finger wants a bit of Sansa.

Jon may be a shit tactician.... but can certainly see why the people of the North speak highly of his work with a sword.

He went into beast mode.

Really happy to see Ramsey shown to be a complete coward, still would have liked if Ghost ripped his face off then his dogs just finished the rest off.

The dragons were unreal

Really poor writing again this episode to go with the arya shit from last week. No twists at all, most predictable fight ever.

Maybe i'm just a little salty because Ramsay died :( A true LAD not seen since Joffers. You will be missed.

One of the better episodes to be made. Second last Ep of last season still by far the best in my opinion, spine tingling
