My team:

B: Kolo---Lonners---Enright
HB: Mackie---Taylor---Henderson
C: Guthrie---J Selwood---Duncan
HF: Motlop---Stanley---Cockatoo
F: Menzel---Hawkins---McCarthy
C: Smith---Dangerfield---Caddy
I/C: Ruggles---Blicavs---Bartel---

I could see any of S Selwood, Kersten, Menegola, Cowan, Lang or Murdoch getting the last interchange spot. If he goes well over the next few weeks I'd probably back Selwood. I think against Sydney we might need Kersten to give us a hit-up option on the wing instead and perhaps against Adelaide I'd pick Cowan for an extra defensive runner to cover their transition. While the last spot is wide open, I'd be pretty surprised if any of the other 21 weren't playing come finals.

I know that this idea is unpopular and I've been banging on about it all year but I don't give a shit. I hope that we try Henderson forward before the finals start so we can see how it looks.
I would have been happy for them to have given it a shot earlier in the year against a decent opponent when things weren't happening up forward for us.It's a bit late now with the quality of opposition remaining to do it and to judge it's effectiveness, besides if they have now decided on Stanley at CHF he will benefit from the remaining games in the key forward position.I also reckon the club already knows Henderson is capable of filling in there should he be required.

For the meat tray:

B: Guthrie---Lonners---Taylor
HB: Ruggles---Henderson---Enright
C: Mackie---J Selwood---Duncan
HF: McCarthy---Stanley---Cockatoo
F: Menzel---Hawkins---Bartel
C: Smith---Dangerfield---Caddy
I/C: Motlop---Menegola---S Selwood---Blicavs

Emergencies:Kolo---Cowan---Bews

For me,as much as I'd like to see Kolo in the 25,that only happens if they drop Bliz, and they won't...because it's Bliz...and they probably shouldn't because we get some excellent clearances when he goes 3rd man up.Will Kolo win us the game....doubtful.Could Bliz?...maybe...and that's probably gonna be the final decider on the (I wish I could stop thinking about the Olympics) ballroom getting in.

B: Enright Lonergan Taylor
HB: Guthrie Henderson Mackie
C: Duncan J.Selwood Motlop
HF: Cockatoo Stanley Kersten
F: Menzel Hawkins McCarthy
R: Smith Dangerfield Caddy
I: Blicavs Bartel Ruggles S.Selwood

EMG: Kolo, Menegola, Lang

Despite the 5 goals on the weekend I'm not convinced on Stanley playing as Hawk's only partner up forward in finals and against a proper backline ;)

I'd still like to see them revert to the forward trio of Hawk, Stanley and Kersten.

I'm on the Menegola wagon but I think realistically they are going to prefer Scooter.

I just think that we should give it a go, even just for a half before the finals start so that the coaches have got some sort of reference point to go off.

Picture this... We're playing the Hawks in a final and we're down by 4 goals at half time. Our forward line is struggling to kick goals whilst their small forwards are running amok against our slowish defence. I think that flipping Henderson forward could be a viable option but as CS has said, if you're going to do something like that you're better off having a look at it first even if it is against weaker opposition so that at least you will have some sort of idea as to whether you think it will work or not.

I'm not saying that we should try him forward with a view to possibly leaving him there, but it's an option that is worth exploring even if only a little bit.

I don't disagree just think it should have been earlier rather than latter.
