Why is it that when a minnow club wins a premiership, their supporters turn their focus to Richmond?
We have seen it with Geelong, Hawthorn and now the Bulldogs.

My guess is that they get stirred up by the fact that, despite their success, they remain minnows, and that despite decades of abject failure, the Tigers remain one of the giants of the AFL. But I'd be interested in the views of the supporters of the above mentioned parasitic clubs regarding the reason for their single minded obsession with Richmond.

How embarrassing being the only Brownlow Medallist to never win a final :$
Wrong.
How embarrassing to be posting on a footy forum but knowing so little about footy:o

The facts are somewhat simpler though.

A persecution complex; fueled by a deep seated, well justified but publicly denied feeling of inferiority. This potent brew of emotional chaos transforms well deserved smackdowns into a perception of victimisation

I'm still lost as to how the value of an individual award that is not voted on during the finals is lessened by whether a player has or hasn't played in a winning final.

I just find it amazing that "such a good player" can't even take his team to at least 1 finals win

Almost as amazing that this years Brownlow winner, a player that cost Geelong much of it's future, couldn't take the Cats to the GF let alone a flag.

Tell me when one player has won a final for their team all on thier own and I would suggest you're making it up or your watching the Hopman Cup.

Geelong were still able to win a final though... and that's just one year.

You must admit it's strange that a Brownlow Medallist has not won one single final... One.

Not at all, if anything winning it without making finals shows just how deserving Cotchin was that year, Bobby Skilton 3 times Brownlow medalist and one of the best players ever to play the game, was unable to win a final for his club and only ever played in one losing final:eek:

Imagine playing in 3

Imagine playing in 3
3 losing finals is better than 1 losing final.

I still don't see the link between finals won in a team sport and the awarding of an individual award that isn't voted on during the finals series, not sure you do either but I guess you may as well get your digs in at Cotchin while you can.

While I can? That'll be his whole career then, unfortunately Richmond aren't going anywhere between now and when he retires. He might win a couple BnFs though which would be fantastic for you by the sounds :)
