I think I'm just going to go Eddy -> Williamson via a couple of DPP's. I still have Hibberd as a non playing rookie but he has been good to move around when trading defenders and mids and has been a good loophole a couple of times.

Leaves me with 24 trades, 49k and my team looking like this:

I don't like having so many Carlton players but I'd rather take Williamson over Balic as I don't trust Ross Lyon to keep playing Balic.

At this rate I'll probably end up keeping Otten and Steele as D6 and F6 the whole season.

Good JS, Hinkley likes him as a player evident in him winning his spot back so quick. He is INJURY PRONE! Played one game last year, missed four the previous year, 3, 6, 15 the next years.

Has averaged 75 before in a season, however, i wouldn't expect anything more then 70 this year.

In a year with limited rookies, could Mathew White become a possibility?

I think he has to be considered at least. 2 x80's in next twp weeks makes that cash and in a season where rookies are stagnating, all options to make some cash should be looked at. If it means getting a rook off field even better!

Trading out SPP this round, I've got plans in the next few rounds to bring in more premos so he's gotta go this round. As a generally aggressive trader, I do think he's hit 80% of his max value which is my general rule of thumb but there's a lot of really slow appreciating rookies and midpricers this season which puts holes into my usual strategies.

I've lost patience with Roughy. I only see him averaging ~75, so I'm thinking of trading him to Spencer via Nank back to the forward line. I think Spender can average 90 and give me a net gain of around 15ppr.

That gives me $168,600 that I'd like to use for an upgrade somewhere, but the only obvious one that I can afford is Tuohy to Doc. A couple of issues with that: 1. I've already got Simpson and Marchbank, so this will give me 3 Carlton players in DEF (though Marchbank hopefully becomes Shaw before Blues Round 11 bye); and, 2. I started with Tuohy hoping that he'd be a keeper and he hasn't actually been terrible, maybe he'll get better?

Other options are Treloar to Bont/Dusty/Pendles, but Treloar has been serviceable and I still think he'll be a keeper... Steele to Macrae?

You should hold the cash a trade for a week. The trades you are suggesting give you little extra points for the money. Better options will appear in the next few weeks.

Yeah I'm getting the itch to trade Roughy too. Was tossing up between downgrading to Matera or getting Roo (have 200k in bank).

I'm just haven't watched any GC games and am unsure on whether Matera will play midfield and keep scoring like this?

Seriously though your strategy just depends on your ranking, # of keepers you need to get in, and your bye structure ......really hard to give you meaningful advice, but i would seriously re-think the whole Matera thing
