so you think he is gutless..........so say it openly..........but he isn`t and has worn plenty of knocks over his career which I happen to think has been a great one!!!
Murph's jaw was broken putting his head over the ball near a Hawthorn thug...oh but yeah he's so gutless

Smurph is elite. His skills are right up there in the top bracket. Because he is not built like a hulk he gets rag dolled easily. Is this where the perception comes from that he is soft?? It sure as shit ain't because he shirks contests.

Very underrated is Murph. Having his best year and no coincidence we have played well. Important part of our rebuild in so many ways

Well I dont mind being up front and saying you are probably right - but I hope Gibbs is traded OUT.

I have no real issue either way. As long as we get a good pick/player then I would be happy with trading him. Still very important to keep the quality kids coming through.

If we effectively got Hopper for Gibbs that would be a good deal considering our position

If Bryce stays I won't be too disappointed.

However for the sake of our rebuild I think the time will be right to cash in and let him go.
Hard to say as an outsider, but I think we have sufficient leadership through Kreuzer, Murphy, Simpson, Rowe, Docherty & Cripps etc.

We don't really have any other trade-able equity left.. so if he stays, the only high quality prospect we bring in this year is pick 2*. And we can forget about Hopper. For me that's not acceptable at this point in our rebuild, despite the supposedly weak draft.

Not to mention his busted shoulder going in against Dangerfield for a hard ball. Murphy is definitely not soft.
Not soft, does tend to break things though.

Maybe he should pick on someone his own size?

Crazy to even contemplate letting Kreuz go as a free agent. He's been huge for us this year. Apparently he's also about to trigger a one year contract extension, so he's a lock in my opinion.

Some people here seem to believe that Gibb's trade price will have gone down by the end of this year. I don't believe for one minute that this will be the Club's position and that's all that matters because he's still contracted. Gibbs to stay unless the offer is too good to refuse.

Casboult hasn't had any offers in previous years so I'm not sure why one year of straight kicking is going to change everyone's mind. He's could easily revert to a 20% conversion rate next year and leave any new club with egg on its face. If Casboult leaves it would only because SOS has forced him out with a low ball contract. After all it's inevitable that Casboult will have to make way for the kids at some stage.

Casboult has been at the club for a long time, no one has forced him out of the side, even during his games where his kicking confidence was shot.

Still not confident enough will have gone past him by the start of next season either, he is still valuable to us.

The only way he becomes a trade option is we can pick up an established key forward/ruck during trade week, at a bargain price.

I'm a huge Kreuzer fan, but even I can understand that if he got (and he won't) a massive contract offer of $900k per year for 3 years that would net us Band 1 compensation, you'd have to seriously consider it. We're sitting second bottom on the ladder, so Kreuzer out for Pick 3. If North Melbourne don't promise him the world, Preuss should be gettable, and if North decide to go with Preuss then Goldstein should be available for a pick in the second round.

Out - Kreuzer and Pick 30ish
In - Pick 3 and Goldstein

Taking the emotion out of it, that would be too good a deal for us to pass up given what we're trying to do in a short space of time.

Best form of his career, first time he has had a genuine long run playing football, our only decent ruckman, loves the club, doesn't want to leave, the boys love him. BUT QUICKLY SHIP HIM OFF FOR A SECOND ROUND PICK!!!
