Who knows... I originally thought he wouldnt go anywhere... then I heard that interview after the “leak” the other week... and geez he was angry and defensive and didn’t want it to be discussed. If you were staying why would you really care?... you’d just joke around and have a laugh and say “everyone will just have to wait and see”... he went on the defensive and was really pissed that the interviewers kept pushing it.

From that moment on I’ve accepted the fact he’s probably gone... and have moved on to “what draft picks can we get for him and what players can we possibly get with these picks”...

but if he doesn’t go I’ll be pleasantly suprised..

Gut feel his inside knowledge was from either Grigg or Lyons. I once went through his in-game posting history and removed players that were playing either SANFL or AFL when he posted. From memory, both those players were among about 5 players left on the list when I shelved the process. Not saying he was a player, was really just wanting to rule it out. Got cold feet when I realised it might not finish up that way.

If it doesn’t happen tomorrow it’s not happening, they don’t announce re-signings on game day, especially as big as one as Sloane.

But do you honestly believe it’s happenkng?

Wouldn't be surprised if the AFL has a policy against announcements at particular times. Tomorrow will surely be embargoed for opening match of the season. They're so careful about keeping momentum up, it'd be a waste to burn a huge news story when they already having everyone talking about them. Tuesday's are surely the endorsed days, the disection is over and it's a bit of a flat spot awaiting the build up to tbe weekend.

Why not Melbourne? Surely a presser is just a room with a desk, microphones, Crows backdrop and Crows employees. All that will be in Melbourne. What or who is it that needs to be there that won't be?

Can't see it happening in that way personally, would be long odds. If it's to happen at all it would be before the team flies out and in Adelaide IMO.

I'm a childish person by nature. I'd like 1hr notice to be provided for a major announcement, bunch of the best journos the game has to offer assemble at AFL house and Rooch gets to watch it from home because none of his employers would pay for unnecessary accommodation. And we know that he wouldn't.
