The irony is labor have never left power with a budget in surplus!
It was them as well as the greens who helped strip the Australian worker of their rights! By beating their chest in fixing up uo Howard’s work choices but with the fair Work Commission only to delay the inevitable out come of the casualiation of the Australian work force, then even going further to allow companies to import workers!

No just pointing out the state of the direction of the Australian work force has and is headed thanks to Rudd and the Greens!
All the crap the liberals cop, labor the turn coats are just as bad if not worse
Given the fact labor have never left power with a surplus on the budget, and the greens want this utopian welfare for all and shut down industry!

Is it such a bad thing for Governments to run a deficit? Surely its about how well they invest in people?
Health, education, infrastructure & security are prime in this.
Australia is one of the lowest taxed Western Nations. If we aren't going to pay a living wage to people & we'll allow housing to become unaffordable for the coming generations, the LEAST they can do is provide opportunity & services.
Otherwise we will become a cheap version of the US. I doubt anyone wants that sort of situation. People living in cardboard boxes, becoming bankrupt because of health or education costs etc etc.
