I'd be happy with pick 4. Every chance one or both of Sam Walsh and Bailey Smith will be there. If anyone is watching the sun's right now. They will get the spoon. Lynch will prob leave & they will get 1 & 2.
Carlton will be 17th & we will be 16th. So pick 4 is what I think we will get to work with.
So 2nd pick will be 21 you would think after FA compo it could slide back to 24/25 at worst. Will that bring us into tom berry range or will there be some others that will be too good to pass up before him?
I definitely want to try and upgrade our second round pick to a pick in the 15 to 18 range. I feel there is a good group of second tier mids in this years draft, but fear pick 24/25 will be to late to pick one of them up.
I would definitely be asking Sydney if their first round pick is available for a pick swap. Either for our 2018 second and third round picks with Sydney's fourth round pick coming back our way, or our 2018 & 2019 second round picks with Sydney's 2019 second round pick coming back our way.
I imagine quite a lot of clubs will be looking at Sydney's first round pick as getable. They will have to surely match a bid on Nick Blakey before their first pick. Right now, before trade period, Gold Coast, Carlton and West Coast (marginally) are the other teams who could offer better or comparable packages to what Brisbane could.
