MOD NOTICE

Alright, for clarification:

FROM NOW ON, should a poster be suspended or on a day off during a round, votes for their song will still be accepted. If their suspension is over by the end of the round, the votes count. If not the song is dq'd, just the same as if they miss the voting deadline.

If a poster is suspended or on a day off at the start of the round, they cannot submit a song or participate in that round.

If a poster is perma'd then they can **** off and they're not welcome to play at all.

Make sense?

Alright sick.

He's gonna be DQ'd so I might just remove the nom?

Voted, I let my partner do my votes.

In general summary she said that’s not a musical at least 20 times and insisted I skip.

Made for a very short listen to the playlist

Still spent more time listening than 90 percent of the participants. Well done Mrs. CakeEater, feel free to choose our next theme.

I originally nommed this from Saturday Night Fever but it got rejected due to not being sung by cast members, robbed of a win there.

I originally nominated this and it got rejected because its not an original song.

But Joe Cocker singing a Beatles song gets accepted?

Joe Cocker did sing the song as part of the cast of that movie though.

Yeah, but it's not an original song for that movie.

I thought that was allowable (there was a “Mamma Mia”clause IIRC)?

But if "Sweet Home Chicago" is disallowed, "Come Together" falls under the same category. Both are sung by cast members, and both are covers.

Either both should be in, or both should be out.

That's how I see it anyway. I would have given votes to the Robert Johnson cover.

John Belushi and Dan Ackroyd sing Sweet Home Chicago in the Blues Brothers.

Blues brothers is not in any way a musical

The joe cocker song is from a musical at least

Sorry yeah, just to clarify I couldn't see what video was being talked about when I quoted the post on Tapatalk. Blues Brothers should definitely have been allowed IMO.
