Corey Ellis should never wear the jumper again at AFL level. Just so timid, not desperate. I mean what would he be like in a final? A deer in headlights. He has to be finished and told to look elsewhere.

Funny that Cameron came out and complained about the umpiring. I thought the umpiring was pretty ordinary but certainly didn't favour any team. Rioli was being held onto most of the game. There was 1 massive howler and that was a missed high tackle on Dusty.

Castanga had a bad game in the midst of a good season.

In: Stengle, Menadue

Don't need to turn the whole team over, but Castanga simply doesn't have the kicking skills, composure or finishing skills that a small forward needs. Stengle has that in spades.

C Ellis isn't ready this year, needs to go find confidence in the VFL for the rest of the year, hit the gym hard in the offseason, hes too slow to be an outside player so needs some bulk to throw around. Should also be made to shadow Cotchin all preseason and learn what commitment to the team and contest actually looks like.

Bolton stays 1 more week. IMO when you bring in a young player they need to be given 2 weeks minimum. Very hard for a guy that young to fire first up.

Moore I'll also give one more chance to. Only because the delivery coming in tonight was absolutely horrible, even from our good users.

Menadue is knocking the door down and is a better AFL player than Ellis. Quick, good skills and just needs to run hard all day and he will go okay.

Honestly a bit of composure in front of goal and we win tonight by a few goals, to play that poorly and still be in it until the end against a good side away from home I can actually take a bit of encouragement from.

The FD is to blame tonight for not doing their homework and failing to reward genuine performers games.
Any blind monkey could see Corey Ellis game last week was nothing short of embarrassing, but yet they got ahead of themselves and played him against a club that has a list full of genuine young quality
A graders. I mentioned in a vfl thread Bolton shouldn’t be getting games until he consistently wins a hard ball in the midfield in the twos. If you were going to play a small it was Stengle as he passed Bolton in this level two months ago , yet he rots away in the twos kicking a bag on JohnniyHolm Park. George kicked poorly , but he wasn’t bad in terms of attack and intent on the contest. People asking him to be dropped are deluded as he still can win his own ball and provide scoring options.
CEllis I can’t understand how a premiership winning FD can’t identify the weaknesses in this blokes game. He’s just plain useless and can be upgraded so easily it’s ridiculous. Any of Lloyd kmac or Townsend play before him and we win.
The midfield was down apart from Dusty Concreter and cameos from Lamborghini and Sheds. I’m not blaming the Forwards tonight as we hacked it into the forward line all night and only the brilliance of Jack could have manufactured something out of nothing. Houli shouldn’t have played and an astute poster mentioned Houli first up from a spell is a disaster and that’s what he was. The FD have devised a brilliant game plan, but what they’ve forgotten you need select the appropriate players to implement it. We’ve cost ourselves two games this year from incorrect selections and gifting games to players who are substandard.
Balme please step in and stop this boy love the FD has for CEllis as he’s inferior than Lennon. Angry with this bullshit as Bolton and Ellis were seen to be substandard after round two yet they play against a team of young talented footballers. Another game lost at selection and the scoreboard flattered us.
