According to article, "Cripps joins Murphy, C. Curnow, Fisher, De Koning, P. Kerr, Dow & O’Brien in extending their contracts with the Club throughout the year."

Out of contract at end of '18 season - source FootyWire

Mullet, A. Silvagni, O'Shea, Polson, Thomas, Lang, Pickett, Lamb, JGM, Simpson, LeBois, Shaw, Kennedy, Lobbe, Wright, Graham, Kerridge, Rowe
- Did Kennedy only sign on for 1 yr??
- 16/17 OOC at season's end. Big numbers. That's 1/3 of list...

I'm fairly sure Polson Lang Pickett Kennedy have contracts for next year. The only "young" player yet to sign is LeBois and I was told it's not far away?

Good to hear. Really want another two good years to see what LeBois could do.

This wasn't just important, it was essential. The alternative (Cripps being out of contract, threatening to leave, etc) would have been a disaster.

As is, this is the last piece of the young core locked away. Cripps has arrived this year as a bonafide star of the league, and there's no reason to think he won't do exactly that for the next 6-8 years. We can build around that.

We can officially confirm that Crippa is no longer a green shoot but a fully grown adult tree.

Yep. His year has been phenomenal. I'm not one to get into a "my guy is better than your guy" pissing match on the main forums, but one can form a pretty strong case the Cripps has passed an awful lot of players this year and has to be considered one of the best 10 in the league right now. He's gone by, for example, Luke Parker, Matt Crouch, Scott Pendlebury, Zac Merrett, to name a few. He's legitimately had a better year than Dusty, Danger and pretty much everyone short of Tom Mitchell and Nat Fyfe pre-injury (and even that's debatable).

We have ourselves a proper star.

It's a good start.

His year on year growth has been fantastic and I believe he has more to come especially as a forward.

Watching him grow gives me comfort and excitement to see what all those kids we have picked since 2015 develop into. It could be frightening how good we could become.

Thanks Patrick.

Don't know what we paid Cripps, but it simply had to be done.
Can you imagine supporters/sponsors/team-mates walking into next year with an understanding that Cripps will be at West Coast in 2020?

Now FFS, can we get the right people in place for the captaincy of this club?
Don't want to see MLG when Liddle should be talking on behalf of the club and don't want to see Murphy when Cripps & docherty represent their team-mates and the club so much better.
I would be happy having Cripps and Docharty as Co Captains next year.
