The Rams are gonna be soft and rusty. Gruden has spent a long time game-planning the Rams, this first game so very important for him, he knows it. Going up against his pupil in McVay and the mad genius of Wade Phillips. Rams have a stacked D and plenty of smarts on offense. Gruden has burned the candle many nights the last few weeks on how to beat them. Carr needs to not see ghosts tho. Has to have the killer instinct that Gruden instilled in Gannon. Guenther will stop their running game. They'll put the game on Goff's shoulders, force him to try to win it, and he's still got the training wheels on. Carr has to have ice in his veins.

Surely you understand the situation? Gruden's been away from coaching for 10 years. His last few years coaching were awful. Many have questioned whether he's still "got it". And since been a lot of criticism about his "Dad's Army" Raiders squad, and now to top it off, the Mack trade. Lot of media attention attacking Gruden and the Raiders, and he hasn't directly addressed anything. Because he knows results is the only and best way to answer the critics. There's a LOT of motivation for him in this first game. Not saying McVay and the Rams don't want to win....just focusing on all that's transpired in Gruden's mind culminating in this day.
