I loved the way when Mathews on the boundary smashed into Kenny and no 39 came in to back Kenny . Marcou ?

Was Marcou, number 34.
The little fella was happy to go at Matthews because he knew that there would be 10 others straight after him that would follow.
Didn't know Kenny was in such trouble later in his career. Was an absolute champion Kenny.
Braver than brave, playing in the best Carlton teams of all time.
Good to see he seems all good now, I think he had a pretty successful corporate career tied into his football connections following his footy.

Rate Hunter as the most courageous player I ever saw. Could play all over the ground. Best Carlton player I ever saw, just ahead of Doull

I rate Hunter as high as you possibly can, a great of the Carlton Football Club.
But Bruce Doull transcends greatness when measured as a footy player.

I have em round the other way but it hardly matters - to see bruce hitting phil maylin on the chest on the wing from the square and kenny flying face-first into a brutal oncoming pack of knees, fists and elbows are some of the strongest memories I have of this mighty club

Funny you mention Maylin, despite not being a great, was one of my favourites of that era
