All sounds fishy to me. Allowing us to "ontrade the mature age player we identify to other clubs". Has that ever been allowed before by the player association?

My guess is that behind closed doors it's all been nutted out by the dodgy AFL and we effectively hand over this pick to the Crows (by drafting whoever they want), plus change, for MM.

If you like long shots, maybe so we could get Lukosius and on trade to Adelaide for a kings ransom? They have 7, 15, and McGovern. We could do that trade whilst retaining pick 1. Im sure there'll be a proviso preventing such a trade but on paper this looks possible atm.

I think we just have to back out of the McGovern deal.

One of our second rounders isn’t going to do it (would need to use both of them) and we need pick 1 and those seconds to beef up our midfield.

It has been reported that we are too far advanced in talks with McGovern to pull out now.
Suggested we will have to try to bundle our two second picks for a first round from another club.
