Sydney Stack just got signed by the Tiges too, so there's another 102k mid added to the list.
Not as likely as Gibbons to get a gig but still, the more 102ks the better.

Apparently heaps of talent but some off-field issues? Hopefully he can get them sorted, could be a great pickup.

Pretty tough upbringing by all accounts, hope is getting him out of Perth and into a new environment will do him a heap of good. Talent wise was right up there in last year’s draft, so if it all works out for him he’s one to watch for sure.

Any chance of his debut this year?

He will probably have to earn a spot through the VFL, but I think Richmond have been pretty good at giving people games if their form deserves it regardless of age (Rioli, Graham, Higgins). Possible downgrade otherwise big 2020 watch.
Cheers, btw how's Naish coming along?

Probably quicker than expected, our backline is the really settled part of our side though and he’s probably behind B.Ellis, Markov and Garthwaite in terms of depth so he’s going to need to play his socks off or a couple of injuries to break in.

Good to see him get a guernsey, and good on the Tigers for giving him the chance, sounds like he didn't have it easy on the way through:

Got a good friend who is a mad Swans fan and he is all over Matty Ling for this season saying he will play a heap of games.

Anyone heard of him or know much about him? Seems to have a good pedigree and was injured in his rookie season last year after the Swans drafted him with their 1st round pick at #14. Played only the 6 games in the 2nds but did well and was on the verge of selection before he had an unlucky broken toe ending his season early.

123k MID/FWD and the Swans do play kids.

Swans fans thoughts??

Played injured all year, including those NEAFL games.

Not sure he gets consistent game unless we decide to go full rebuild this year. He might come in for a couple and then go back out.

Depends how our year is going, there are some vets that will probably make way for kids if we are having a bad year.
Grundy, Smith, McVeigh are probably still best 22 as of right now, and Horse loves KJ even though he is washed up.

I count 16 players in our list that are absolute locks for best 22:
JPK, Parker, Heeney, Franklin, Rampe, Aliir, Hewett, Mills, Florent, Jones, Cunningham, Reid, Hayward, Papley, Lloyd, Sinclair

Then you have 6 spots which are either older veterans or young guys (Grundy, Smith, McVeigh, Menzel, Ronke, Naismith, Dawson, Melican) and I think right now there are a few that are ahead of Ling.

Ling and Foot are the two sneaky ones to watch though, but I think it's unlikely they will play more than a handful each.

Cheers mate.

I will be keeping an eye on him for sure.

Very outside player, but has a lethal left foot. I think was rated as one of the best kicks or the best kick in the 2017 draft. Played halfback for the Falcons in 2017 and dominated there.

Everyone else locked in Will Golds yet or is it just me?

Just you and i cannot fit him in in front of Bewley / Valente / Gibbons / Hind / Hayes / Drew and Setterfield etc.

Will probably change depending who is named rd1 and it always does.

Is getting some good write ups from our track watchers. Not sure where he gets a game though? Can he fill a hbf spot if Birchall/Scrimshaw aren’t ready?

Possibly. I saw him at TAC and he was mostly an outside mid. Has ball-winning ability, got 20+ touches in his first game back from a LTI.
