Ok ordinary second qtr but we're still in the game. It will be a real character test for the team in the second half. They showed in the first qtr they have what it takes, now they have to do it consistently.

If Sinclair could play Carlton every week he’d have two Brownlows. Jones doing well on Buddy, Weiters going ok, yet nobody else back there can get knuckles on a high ball. Ugh.

Where would we be without Crippa. Walsh also been fantastic. So has Liam. The rest showed no run. Sydney constantly was able to use the corridor while we hugged the boundary line. Very frustrating.

Our structure looked good in the first qtr, not so good in the second. However, too many players didn't attack the ball in the second qtr and that let Sydney take control.

Which begs the question... why every single week do we have a handful of players not partaking in the game?

I’m getting sick of us laying tackle after tackle and it gets called play on after suspect disposal then all of a sudden we do the same thing and it’s holding the ball. Every game this year.

In a glass half full perspective, they dominated that quarter and after the 15 minute mark we were able to stop the bleeding.

As you’d expect, it’s our bottom 6 holding us back.

I'm a fan of his but at some point Bolton needs to be asked the tough questions.

The same mental errors.
The same poor foot skills.
The same multiple opposition players to a single Carlton player.
The same being beaten by the spread at every turn.

It doesn't matter who the players are. We've supposedly improved the quality of the list year over year yet we're constantly seeing the same results.

Why?

Walsh and Dow have been good, but Dow need to improve his kicking and that too yesterday.
