And how about Tony Shaw at the end.

Words to the effect “if Carlton get any injuries they’ll struggle,”.

The pea brain doesn’t realise our AA half back has been out for 1.5 years, our #1 ruck played his first game yesterday and we’ve still got 6 (arguably) best 22 players out injured.

He has to be in the band of most moronic commentators in footy along with Dwayne Russell and Kelli Underwood with John Ralph and * loving Cal Twomey not far behind.

He's still suffering from running into that tree many years ago.

Curnow has been playing injured from bone bruising and was left out of the team as he recieved a significant knock on the same part which was already bruised and was causing significant pain.

He was not dropped. Not sure how people are not getting this - Bolts stated as much during his presser.

Polson is getting a game - would sooner have Curnow as a small forward or running outside winger than Polson.

.
Next week would be perfect to play Charlie on the wing against Henderson who has really hurt us the last couple of games, would be a good match up for Charlie to try and get some ball and gain some confidence.

Little bit of love for Plowman there.

you're a sample of one - there are a lot of people who would be completely crushed by public humiliation........that ain't gonna help anyone's performances..

The boys (carlton) came out this week and blew the doggies away!!! Was a complete turn around. I reckon they responded well to it.

I reckon the group might have something special

Clearly one of the coaches reckon the Plow is better than a VFL captain.........

yes I was hard on Daisy and agree with so much people have said about his leadership and courage, particularly last year. But yesterday 14 touches, 6 clangers , 4 frees against are not good numbers but I do love the way he celebrated the win and am not trying to be controversial . I just feel the time is coming for a younger one now.

Stats are only part of the story, we need to retain some experience. They might not be our best players but we’d really struggle without him Simpson and Murph in the side

Take that Caro!

This might be unpopular, but I reckon Caro was right to ask those questions last week.

Juddy answered them well,

If you guys don’t think juddy went back to carlton, and said boys, look what I just had to cop, you better be out there on Sunday breathing fire for me, then I’m not sure many people understand how teams work.

Anyway, let’s hope it lasts more than just one game

Yes you are right.

JSOS’s contributions are easy to miss.

Eg Murphy’s goal was sensational under duress.

But if you look at the preceding 5 seconds JSOS tackled and dispossessed a Dog player, hunted the ball inside the pack, fell then tapped the ball on so he didn’t get caught with it, regained his feet and possession of the ball, was tackled and legged and still got the ball to Murph who ducked into a tackle then snapped it through.

There were other instances where rather than dive in for a contested ball he calculated where the opposition was and blocked them them from tackling his teammate while they took possession of the ball unhindered and then delivered without any pressure to another teammate.

Don’t think this shows up on the stats sheet but is really important for the team.

If he can improve his set shot goal kicking he’ll be a very handy player.

Just to follow up on this - JSOS had at least 3 or 4 of these - including Gibbons and McKays.

Have through the game just looking at jack and he was a standout - very overlooked performance - YUGE.

Finally looked at Bolts presser
That man makes me proud. Selfless and driven. Just a real good bloke.

So many things he said that quite a few here have been saying about the time factor of young players and the decisions that have been made for our club and just all of it.
Thank you Coach.
I loved how Bolts was quick to credit the assistant coaches by name at various points in the presser - not something that you expect from every senior coach, some of whom seem quite happy for it to be all about them, especially after a great win.

I also loved watching Bolts struggle just a tad to control his justifiable self-satisfaction as he discussed the (excellent) reasons for not having regularly played Harry sooner - “it’s all about the long term interests of Carlton”, or words to that effect.
