Was listening to Blue Abroad podcast after the presidents lunch, some interesting stuff about Teague being extremely bullish on LOB, a whisper about Teague trying to get Charlie Cameron down and Liam Baker from tigs is as good as done, sounded like the deal is done and just waiting for trade period to start to submit the papers. Terry isnt one to make up rubbish, just havent really heard anything about Baker

Would love to see him back in navy blue, just can't see it panning out though. Contracted for another season, doesn't up his value that much given his age, probably a third rounder or a fourth if Adelaide want to jettison his contract. Just don't think we get enough out of him to justify it.

Maybe, MAYBE, if we can't get Papley then a year of Eddie mentoring whichever young small forward we can take in the draft would be an option. Serong at Adelaide's pick, Mahony, Weightman or Kysaiah Pickett later in the draft? Then transition him into a coaching/development/support role.

Martin, Betts, Cameron via trades plus Pickett and a few others in the draft? Not ideal, but might not be a bad outcome if Papley doesn't happen.

Facebook Fan Page rumour ????????

This was posted not long ago:-

Coincidence:think:
I got a text form someone I know is who usually reliable, busy with appointments to give him a serious going over he claims its straight from the horses mouth, hope its not whats floating around social media. 3 x

Not a rumour but I (perhaps willingly...) overheard LOB and Russell discussing GPS numbers, nutrition and the like. LOB feels in the greatest shape he has since being in the system, legs are fresh and was ready yesterday to play another game...

Definitely a good thing to be hearing about late in a season. Massive pre-season for all coming up.

I don't think they're ruck depth any more though. Ruck dead weight a more appropriate description. Really hope we can pick up an early-mid 20s ruckman as backup to kreuze this off season. Then a rookie this year or next to develop with tdk.
Been a bit of talk about Ports #9 rookie Peter Ladham 21yrs Jan98 203cm 95kg ruckman being sort after by a couple of clubs who also can play forward, looks to have good footy smarts, very clever with his tapouts, great speed and agility and a good pair of hands.
22yrs in January and originally from Norwood SA imo he looks like he has great attributes to becoming a very good ruckman who averages around 23 possessions per game in the sanfl this year ...

Eddie rumour sounds made up.

Also that reminds me, at the VFL yesterday I was standing next to a nuffie who said that 'the only bloke who gets it right every time is that Brett Temple'
I struggled to keep the laughs in.
Did you ask him if his name was Brett?

I think the rumor is a lie but every opportunity Betts has had in the media to reiterate that he will always be half a blue in his heart for life he has taken.
Ok we'll take the half that's under twenty five then. :)

He is going to be a gun.

I don't disagree but can we afford to loose his creativity further up the ground?
He doesn't get massive numbers but he is deadly dangerous around stoppages. His skills are freakish.

Re Fishman.

FWIW Papley spends time playing midfield as well.

As they say in the classics “why not have both”!!!!

Paul Roos made the point during our match on Saturday: "If you had pick 1 this year, you'd trade it and next year's first for him. He's having a good year for a 5th year midfielder."

He's practically rendered our not getting Shiel irrelevant, as an 18 year old.

IIRC - Not quite correct.

Roos said Walsh is SO GOOD that you would trade this year’s Picks 1 AND 2 for him and it would still be a great deal.

FWIW - a Bluebagger on a loyal Bluebaggers group on FB stating first-hand that Eddie would be keen to finish his career with us and Coach under Teague (or Ratts). Not sure of the accuracy of it, but worth mentioning.

Paps in one pocket and Eddie on the other for one year before transitioning the great man to another role at the club?

Delicious.

Eddie is cooked.

It makes too much sense to me.

Baby steps I guess and we're likely to have this Director of a Coaching first before we further develop into a model I'm putting forward.

Would Bolton have benefited appointing Teague as game day tactician? I guess the answer would be a yes.
Why does the main coach who deals with personalities day in and out also be the individual who's most adept in being creative and proactive on game day?
I don't see it being a slight at all upon the principle coach to not be in the main chair making the tactical manouvers. Not in the slightest.

I’ve made the same point previously Harks.

If Bolton had used Teague like Hardwick used Caracella - Bolts would probably still have his job.
