Wanted to say some things in the #sackhinkley but most aren't about Ken so figured I would say them here.

I am not giving up on Port Adelaide, even though some may say I already did last year when I didn't renew, I can't stop supporting the club. Supporting the club however, has never put me more at odds with the club doing well, so to speak.

There's Hinkley, which there's other places to belly ache.

There's KT, who has lost any touch he used to have.

There's the prison bars being wheeled out, exclusively vs the camry crows, in what is probably going to be a twilight fox footy fixture ft. Derwayno, and the deathly silence surrounding the reported 'never again' clause (how did the deathly silence around Hinkley work out?).

There's the social media team. Post you sad reacts and lols here!

There's making the community proud, clearly at the expense and maybe even distraction from out football.

I do know I'm not giving up. There's between not much and nothing I can do really, not being a member anymore, not being a local, but if there is any truth that people from the club read the boards, those of us with critical opinions need to stay, because if this place becomes half a dozen bed wetters equally numbered by the happy clapping true believers, the micro-ism of supporters that it represents will do more harm than good.

Alberton will burn. Whether that is by an angry mob to build it back to what it was and what it can and should be, or by sheer ineptitude by it's current custodidians, I don't know yet.

Anyone who doesn't renew their memberships over coaching can p**s off. Same type of people who didn't show up at AAMI and only want to ride with the club for the glory times.

Nah, this is wrong.

I was there for every single one of those shitful games at West lakes. All of them. This is completely different. I would happily take a genuine, full blooded clean out of all the no hopers that treat this club like a Contiki holiday and the ensuing rebuild under a new coach. I'd gladly sit through that and cop some beltings along the way, because I could actually see hope at the end of it all.

There's no rejuvenation happening now. In fact, i don't even think there's a plan. One year it's trading and topping up for top 4, the next it's back to the draft. If you're going to truly invest in your youth you don't do it half arsed. We're doing it half arsed.

Get off it. I was there every single week through the horror period at AAMI when we were getting belted, couldn't get sponsors, a crowd or even coaches but I stuck it out because, fundamentally, the club was clawing to be better.

Don't go telling people like me, who have backed this club since I was a kid in the early 80's, going to Alberton every week, to p**s off. I choose not to renew because dragging myself and my 5 kids to Adelaide Oval has become a horror show and because NOTHING I hear from the club makes me think they are even the slightest bit aware they are the problem.

There's the happy clappers who refuse to accept any dissenting voice among the club's supporter base, almost violently so.

I don't think I've ever hated large elements of Port's supporter base so much.
Their holier-than-thou attitude is hilariously pathetic.

On one side are those who want themselves and others to hang in there and support the club and on the other hand are those who want everyone to burn their memberships.
Both opinions are valid to the people themselves and neither should be ridiculed.

I would be fine with a rebuild, the club has been doing a revamp over the past two years. Last year was a clear sign of that, and a year later we are sitting in a better position imo.

The club is paying for past mistakes made between 2016-2018 like having voss stumping development of mids, signing ken long term and bringing in Rocky and Mots on big money. But people that are claiming now is when you jump off aren't right, last year was far worse this year at least has a direction with more youth getting bigger roles.

Port fans (not most in here) are fickle, they fall off really quick as we have seen at both AAMI and AO

People are gonna do what they're gonna do. I don't think any amount of encouraging others to renew or to cancel their membership to send a message is going to make any difference.

I'm disenchanted as ****. Will I cancel my auto renew? I haven't decided yet. I still love the Club and don't want to hurt it financially. The worm will turn and KKK won't be here forever. Maybe when they're gone I'll be able to say I stuck with it.

Glad you've supported the club, I don't buy people now jumping off. If ken was the only issue that is making you jump off (speaking to the ken is staying so I'm gone crowd) I don't see why you didn't come to that conclusion when we imploded last year, with less optimism and no idea ken wasn't fully guaranteed through 2021.

I think the messaging has actually improved, it's clear as day that ken is done at the end of next year if we don't make finals (his own admission) and our list is in a far better position than last year imo

I came to the conclusion Ken couldn't coach a long time ago, but it took until July this year for me to give up all hope.

One thing I’m 100% sure of in this big cluster fukc is some players we have are mentally fragile or easily distracted & can’t for the life them follow a game plan for more than a quarter or two. If we’re stuck with this numbskull coach for another year then weed out these players.

I'll more than likely renew (losing Billy might push me over the edge), but you have to be special sort of stupid to think Hinkley is going to take us anywhere other than mid-table again.

I certainly don't begrudge anyone wanting to take a year off until the clown is sacked.

I will renew, I've been to pretty much every home game. Can't say I enjoy watching us play. Counting the days until we get rid of Ken. I have no faith whatsoever in his ability to develop a cohesive gameplan that will deliver success. However, I remember the dark days when I was genuinely concerned for the clubs existence. I support the Club, not KKK. I just want there to be a club once we get rid of them.

It seems the cost of paying out a year of Hinkley's salary and the blow to Koch's ego from admitting a mistake is too high a price to pay to stop the club imploding on its 150th anniversary.

Can't wait till the clowns in charge are out the door. We are so far removed from the Port Adelaide I grew up with.

The AFLs bullshit cap stops the poorer clubs like us from being able to sack coaches, can't afford the ridiculous tax and because we can't move him on we will lose members.

Being burnt at both ends

Yet, everything that is self-inflicted is still on us.

Tredders would like an external review of Port as well as Crows.
Would be a great idea.
He wants underperforming players gone too.

What’s an external review going to do now at port though?

We’ve already backed in Ken and backed in KT seemingly without any review process

All we can do now is sacrifice some pawns
