It looks like the game at Jimboomba is scheduled for Friday night. Tough trip from Maroochy! Probably didn't want a 6 day break before the GF :laughing:

never really looked at it that way to be honest, but yes in hindsight its a big leg up. Our Saturday away game up there we had 14 blokes, and got 3 Jindalee Div 3 ressies lads who came over after playing Nambour. (apparently anyway, as I certainly wasn't there!)
 
Oh cmon - you're not daring to suggest that certain clubs get a red carpet ride are you?

It's a Fri night comp and Sat games dilute the available talent for some clubs and allow the club consistently playing Sat when others only have players available Fri to gain an unfair advantage.

How would it be Mud if a club entered Div 2 for argument sake but for some reason was unable to play on Saturday afternoons and needed to play Friday nights? And every team when they played this side had to fall into line with that? Not sure it would go down well.

What’s the draw being released have to do with it? A lot of people play in this Comp simply because they can’t play on the Saturday even if they have plenty of notice. A 3-4 player difference would be a huge swing in div 2 let alone this comp. it’s an advantage plan and simple.

in saying that I don’t have a better solution to offer other than pushing the start times of the Friday night games back like they’ve done with finals but even then it’s a late night home for the home team and even later for the away.

We agreed to it when they came in. Didn't think much of it at the time, because only thought about our own situation. Never considered the fact that every other club would go up there half strength as well.

We requested that the game would be when our Seniors and Reserves have a bye and the request was granted both years, but the new rules around that stuffed us!

We were close enough to full strength on Friday, hard to win when you only play one quarter of footy. Few other things didn't go our way either, but thats life - other departments might be half strength on Fridays...!
 
In tipping, I think Fan would score lower than the Kiss of Death!

Looks like Div 4 GF is at Mt Gravatt now? Just a stuff up or has it been moved?
 
I think it was moved because the Div 4 Old Marcellan boys play out of Grange and won the right to host Preliminary Final in Div 4.

Probably better chance of a better crowd at MtGravatt anyway.

good game last night..maroochydore kept themselves in it for 3 quarters but once the pirates started making their chances count there was only going to be one result

what next for the pirates?
