Maybe in the VFL reserves.I still think MK would make a gun ruckrover following at the feet of a dedicated Blues ruckman. So I reckon there’s room for an alternative primary ruckman.
In the end I just gave up and bought a sub. My parents get the hard copy and I get the digital sub. Works well.Just a heads up, sometimes (Not all of the time) you can get around the annoying paywall behind the HUN's articles by clicking on the link on their articles on their Superfooty account on Twitter.
Doesn't always work, but you would be surprised how often it does #UpYoursRupert
yeah shut-up though........You people......clearly all as nuts as I am......thinking I need to be in a sanatorium and sudenly realising this is the sanatorium.........
Thanks for all the kind words.
Can also copy the link from the herald sun website, run it through bit.ly to get a bit.ly link and then use that on Outline.Just a heads up, sometimes (Not all of the time) you can get around the annoying paywall behind the HUN's articles by clicking on the link on their articles on their Superfooty account on Twitter.

breakout season along with simmo........Yeh, well, hasn't set the world on fire yet has he? I know he has a lot of talent, and I hope our coaches get the best out of him. It might only be a change of position, or extra fitness and better confidence. I have seen some of the talent in his earlier years, and if he can achieve that level again he will be an asset for us. I'd like to know what we are giving up for him though?
OkMaybe in the VFL reserves.
At top level we would be killed playing 2 rucks in centre bounce.
Cripps is but what? 40mm short of a so called ruckman? What the heck constitutes a ruckman? Height? The point is I don’t see him as a ruckman.Maybe in the VFL reserves.

Then drop MK and drop any reference to him providing the advantage of being an extre midfielder..Maybe in the VFL reserves.

Eventually...I heard that.......
Jack Viney’s ankle was rooted not long ago and he had surgery earlier this year which stuffed his season really. His best is very, very good - if there’s any truth to this we have to look into him but we’d want to be certain he’s ok going forward.
Height plus playing as a ruckman his whole career plus being clumsy looking.Cripps is but what? 40mm short of a so called ruckman? What the heck constitutes a ruckman? Height? The point is I don’t see him as a ruckman.
Does so.Height plus playing as a ruckman his whole career plus being clumsy looking.
Point is if he moved like McKay and had MKs ballwinning skills, MK would be fine. But he doesnt.
Depends if the so called "oversized mid" is athletic or not, & Tomlinson is very athletic. He has played in a lot of positions all over the ground for the giants and that makes him a utility, and to do that you have to be mobile as well as strong. Tomlinson is the type of player that allows a club more coverage in that he can play where you need him and I don`t think the club has an overabundance of that type..........I would be surprised if Paddy didn`t want him in there........and not knocking Walsh because he has been magnificent for us already, but he isn`t exactly endowed with speed either, so there shouldn`t be a knock on Tomlinson just because he is big (194cm-96kg) imoBut Cripps is one of the big reasons why we wouldn't want another 190cm+ midfielder. He's a beast in the contest but lack of speed and endurance (relative to other mids) means he can't fully cover his opponent defensively and we need someone like Walsh to pick up the slack. You can't have multiple oversized mids or the opposition mids will kick half a dozen goals each.
This is the AFL we are talking about though. If its out of line with how they are feeling on any given day we may not be so lucky...We can seek the AFLs permission...given the amount of first rounders on our list can’t see that being refused...
