So Martin, Papley, Butler, Eddie all coming in playing forward (martin as a high HF), not sure how they all fit in
Butler depth. Other three best 22 without a doubt.

I love that! The Royals!Martin and Papley can play further up the ground and add to midfield rotations. Butler and Eddie play as inside 50 smalls.
With that said, I'd prefer Papley to never be further than 10m from the feet of the royals, Charlie and Harry.
No, they aren't equivalent at all, i think i was just talking from a cost standpoint. Especially given Melbourne are likely to want too much for Petracca (and we surely have others in sight that we are more happy to pay for than him). So grabbing Manton with a late pick as a F/S may not be better value, though does provide a development option without giving too much up. With the hope he may become a Petracca-like player.

Butler isn’t best 22, but very good depth.
Eddie will depend on his firm but will be in and out.
Papley and Martin best 22
Starting to build some real depth
Fair enough. I just think that if talent like Petracca is available, you grab him, even at overs (within reason of course).
And then you play him in the midfield, where he is supposed to be.
From Richmond's VFL team to the NB's VFL team. Bit of a sideways move I would suggest.

Idk, is he really a midfielder though?
*** will take what we give em!Well Tom Browne is suggesting that Daniher is going to request a trade to the Swans, which would help facilitate us getting Papley.
But how does the deal get done?
Essendon are going to probably expect Sydney's Pick 4, and our Pick 8 for Daniher?

Silver cup service forYou made a meal of those puns![]()

Depends.I love that! The Royals!
Can I go with it???
You saying Eddie would be stiff to get dropped?Butler isn’t best 22, but very good depth.

Source - amber fluid experts at Percy’s pub on Friday night. Got busy talking s**t the boys. Sit back and take it FWIW. Straight from the horses arses mouths. High-low credibility - wasn’t there.
Butler reportedly a done deal on top of Martin.
Cameron wants to play with Cripps.
Papley very likely, trade with * and Swans in works.
Draft picks being floated for trade this and next year to gain further picks. Pick 8 potentially may get traded for a later 2019 1st and a 2020 1st, allowing us to trade a first from both years. Next years original 1st might get split up also. Said to be lots of draft gymnastics in play for SOS to get trades done and potentially another player. Not an A-grader but a fringe mid, potentially ADE. GWS and BRI also mentioned. No names just rumour and innuendo. (Cutler maybe???)
Don’t rule out Harley Bennell if we get Eddie. Last chance saloon but they think Eddie and Russell can get his head and body right. Really wants to play just needs the leadership and things to occupy him. Relies on getting Eddie though.
Jacobs doubtful. Phillips is expected to sign one year offer. Much cheaper option.
Also, Garlett and Schumacher not necessarily done at Blues. Kerr also could return if Levi is traded. Lots of interest in the Yarra Cruise King.
Just don’t forget the McGovernor generalI love that! The Royals!
Can I go with it???
And Edward plus the two for one in Andrew Phillips.Just don’t forget the McGovernor general
No! But would need a Russell fitness regime to get him to a solid 50/50 forward/midfielder imo...Idk, is he really a midfielder though?
I'm pretty confident we will organise the right deals to land our main targets, without losing anyone...Well you'd think they may be a little scared, given what happened with Shiel, so that may be what does happen.. but i guess its slightly different, as its someone leaving the club rather than joining it (if it happens)

Well at least, without losing anyone, we want to hold on to.
I think it's realistic that we may lose a player this trade period. We had to eventually. I don't think it'll be anyone best 22, or potential to be best 22 in 2020, tho.
