What's absolved? Cripps is a gun, Rogers and Hughes were hopeless. I'd rather we stopped talking about them but a poster was blaming Malthouse for a Rogers stuff up.

Maybe depends what we'd do with 17 - could potentially nab a decent player in the draft given a lot of the players ranked in the teens are role players and will be selected on needs, or we could be looking to trade it for a mature midfielder.

Butler will get done for a late pick. Richmond don’t have a lot of leverage given he’s uncontracted and they’ve given away similar quality players for less.

The 3rd round rhetoric is media-driven, fill-in-the-blanks type deduction, and Butler is roughly worth Pick 39 in isolation.

We’ve got bigger fishes to fry though, I doubt Richmond budge if we propose a deal for a late pick.
