Last year we received pick #43 from Geelong for Nathan Krueger (who we nominated through the state league concessions) after they received it from the Lions as part of the McCarthy trade.....so we traded it to GWS as part of the Setterfield deal, who subsequently traded it to Freo as part of the Lobb deal. It was then on traded to the Bulldogs during the ND, and ended up becoming pick 45 after all the other stuff, which they picked Ben Cavarra.

But we have it back again this year!!!!

Yeah great return on initial investment. But it would suck losing what is now Tim Kelly to a premiership rival.

Also i hate the general terms of 1st rounders, 2nd rounders etc. Each pick has a number. The 2 1sts in this deal are 14 and probably 14 to 18 next year. They are not single figure picks.

Also 14 and 24 this year quickly become 16 and abot 28 after bids added. And next years teen pick could easily go out 5 or more spots because the draft is so compromised next year.

WC and Geel are pretty smart. Smart enough to work out a fair deal when they both want/have to.
