What would we get for Fisher, draft picks or a player, how much of an impact would it have on the team all off the top of my head would at worst be mildly interesting. The point in which you called me out was me commenting that I don't think losing Fisher would have a huge impact in the big picture, but it would still be disappointing.

The same with Murphy - How much of a impact would that have on our playing group? A senior player, former captain and current leader/mentor shifting clubs would have shockwaves that would definitely lead to an interesting discussion.

Whether they're realistic or not is a definite query I have as well, but the resulting discussion is still an interesting one, so long as the discussion isn't around the viability of the source and is around the proposal itself. Simply discussing it isn't giving it credibility imo.

I can confirm that as a result of the Kelly trade, West Coast will have one less player on their list for 2020 to stay within the TPP.

There’s no way they’re bringing in Fisher or anyone else bar draftees on first year wages

Just to clarify, J-dog - Howard wasn't the co-captain in 2019. That was Jonas - who will step down but still be an important part of their side.

I think it actually make sense for the small fry deals to be done at the end.

Say we agree with the Cows that he's worth a 4th rounder. Rather than let such a trade potentially hinder other deals (eg qualifications with future picks, pick upgrades etc) we wait until the end. We may then have a preference for trading a future pick rather than a current one, or vice versa.

Indication seems to be that discussions about how the salary will be split between the two clubs is ongoing. Probably no rush from either camp, they know it'll get done, and it doesn't require any other clubs to come to the table. Just go back and forward with financial negotiations until they settle on something both find acceptable.
