As a player I would only want to play with guys who are there for the right reason.

Yeah it can't be true.

As his mates you'd think they'd be understanding and on his side.

Also just as a player in general, they would know that lots of players break their contracts for various reasons and that they could do the same themselves later in their careers...would be super dog to do that to him if he's feeling unhappy in Melbourne.

How would they like it if their teammates did the same to them? No one player is worth ruining the culture of a club for and likely alienating or dividing some of the playing group.

Unfortunately it's tied to the Daniher trade, which brings Dodoro into the mix. Then on the Betts front we have to deal with Reid.

Pretty unfortunate that two of our three trades are reliant on dealings with two guys who are arguably the biggest obstructionists and grandstanders in the industry.

What if the pick we are looking to give for Betts is a pick we don’t actually have yet, because we’re planning to get it as part of another trade?

All clubs have multiple balls in the air. The Betts deal might seem simple, but we may not (for example) currently have the pick we want to use for him.

It would be great if SOS could complete a trade every two days to keep us all happy with plenty to talk about, but that’s not how it works.
