Give me the 2015-2017 version of Jack Newnes any day. Was earmarked as the next Captain, but something has definitely gone amiss the last couple of years.
In Eddie we trust. Bennell could be the top 10 midfielder in the league
Will be interesting if we do take him as a DFA.
We'll have 3 list spots left for the draft. I wonder if we potentially cut another player to leave a spot for Supplementary Listing?

Newnes as a DFA would be a great get I think too. He was pretty valuable to that side 2 years ago and was damaging, performed in spurts this year. Surprising he didn’t go in FA but could be down to sides knowing he was out the door already/will be delisted if no offer/trade.

IF we think he's grown up a bit, I think he'd be worth considering.
I get ads too, but more along the lines of romantic interludes. Newnes would be a big win for us.
Agree Bennell would have the best chance of staying on the park fir a few years at lest at CFC.
Russell’s management and Eddie’s infectious smile, mentoring may just do the trick.
Newnes too as delist free agent is a no brainer, both these players are a risk but we need to take some gambles. We can’t be too risk aversive, Could be a massive reward, either player or both , together with Martin, Papely and Betts and we’re looking at a prepotent 2020 campaign.

I've got a horrible feeling Deluca's days may be numbered if we jag all of our trades.....which I'd be pretty disappointed. I thought he really showed something without a preseason with the club, coming in half way through the season, and playing in a position totally foreign to him.
He's also a better option than a few contracted players we currently have on our list....

Not a great player, but a good soldier. The sort who could win a premiership medal and be the coaches favourite, but not the best and fairest.
