I will comment on JSOS.
He played as a 2nd/3rd tall forward, leading up to the wings. I thought he was pretty good, hands were reasonably strong, kicking looks good, looks even fitter/stronger.
He actually got hands to a lot of aerial contested balls but couldn't hang on, brought the ball to ground against heavy opposition.
He definitely gets a game before Kennedy.
If McKay is unavailable, suggest he'll be there round 1. Perhaps even regardless of McKay's status.

I couldn't agree more on every point. Well put forward.
We want players that are never out of the contest and this is what JSilvagni shows up...in the air..on the ground...

Imagine taking my statement to mean I didn't want Plowman in the team. Rebounding the footy is his weakness, everyone knows this.

Playing deep, or with a licence to roam? Did he make any impact up the ground?

Interested in your thoughts on Cunico as well.
Moore and Cunico only played in the 10 minute quarters where we played our VFL side + Cunners and LOB.

Moore played as the deepest forward and couldn’t get near it. Inside 50s were limited and delivery inside 50 was deplorable.

Cunico played wing and didn’t do much to stand out. Sturgess clearly best of the potential recruits.

I got the impression the Sturgess was the most prolific, but it seems he also got the most opportunities due to where the ball was continuously being sent.

Newman, Newnes, Gibbons will play round 1

I wouldn't lock in Newman, but Newnes and Williamson are extreme favourites for the wing position at this stage, with LOB just behind.

Unless we decide that Williamson is better suited to the HBF. Either is fine with me.

Agree that Gibbons is in too.

Of the auditioning group:
Webb did a couple of ok things then appeared to hurt a hammy?
Sturgess the pick of the bunch, strong in the air BUT disposal was suspect and his position is one where we have the least need
Moore was largely innefective although the delivery was not great either
Cunico might not have even touched it

Overall Sturgess had the best day but also makes the least sense to me list wise. Of the others provided his injury wasn’t serious I’d favour Webb

He also won contests, took some intercept marks and used the ball well. Much easier as a 3rd tall, though, no doubt.

Think that makes it 4.0 for Levi today?

I remember when Levi was more likely to kick 0.4.

Such a change.

Like chalk.... And something really cheesy...

Guys like Newman won't come hard first hitout, it's like old bull, young bull.

Looked like he was genuinely trying to me, but just wasn't able to keep up with our newfound pace.

This speed of play will leave a few behind, which is unfortunate.

It's certainly possible

If the likes of Newman aren't getting regular games, then we are finals bound, especially with Teague's mantra

arrowbro.............he was very, very awful for years...........

No he wasn't

Our inept recruiters left him one out as the number 1 forward, a crap midfield, when as a rookie pick he was only ever a second string forward/ruckman

his output regardless was................awful............

Which bit, his kicking? Sure, finally we got professional and it improved to industry standards

More inside 50's, not being the number 1 forward
