Given Richmond's recent record away from the MCG is akin to Michael Jordan's baseball career and they've just flown north to join a 'hub', there seems little doubt that they are about to fall into a huge screaming heap.

As they are as useless at winning away from the MCG as they are at cutting ties with old Catholic pedofiles providing their fringe players like Marlion Pickett with a living wage, will this entitled bunch of non-travellers apply to the AFL for a priority pick? Surely they will be looking to NSW for a replacement for Alex Rance at season's end to shore up the back half.

Hard to dispute this. Especially given how many Richmond players partners have pending babies. Meaning the poor sods won't even be able to travel to hub.

Then there's the Jack Riewoldt investment property which has seen its value decrease by 30% since the corona pandemic! This is after he already took a paycut to get Tom Lynch at the club!!

No team has sacrificed more for the good of the competition then this all inclusive, no boundaries, fun for all ages franchise and they should be given all that they can so they can support one man team Dusty who has to travel to New Zealand of all places to see his poor father who is a victim of our racist justice system.

Personally I think it's inevitable. The nightmare of former AFL great and future Hall of Famer, Karmichael Hunt, kicking the match winner after the siren from 75 metres out, not at the MCG, is probably enough to justify the pick.

Into the breeze, losing to 9th, campaigner winning after the siren, 20 goal belting at the hands of Geelong, Chick s**t Dumping after 10 goal Geelong drubbing.... yeah, they deserve another priority pick

Personally, I will be more interested in whether Richmond or the Bulldogs take out the coveted Most Players Who Are Too Much Of A Pussy to Leave Home award.

You forgot too mention 2 more finals wins against Geelong to add to the many others.

Thanks for your concern, apperently we are beatable that in itself is enough reason for the AFL to give us a pp.

After all no one wants to see the competitions biggest club lose, am I right?

sure throw it in the cup

The AFL's just recently brought in a raft of rule changes to "bring Richmond back to the field". They also changed the rules around compensation for free agents so Richmond wouldn't get the same compensation other clubs get. They also refuse to let Richmond play all its home games at its home ground. They'll do pretty much anything to try and subvert success for Richmond. They're hardly likely to give us a priority pick.

OP is being ridiculous. He's bitter at Richmond for some reason, despite the AFL manufacturing an undeserved and unearned premiership for his own club just a few years ago, as they did for West Coast in 2018. Maybe he's jealous because Richmond's 2 recent premierships were amongst the most hard fought, against the odds achievements in VFL/AFL history.

Don't be bitter OP. Be better.

What a ridiculous thread.... why would they apply for it when Kim Jong Gil will just hand it to them on a silver platter like he did with the 2017 & 2019 moon landing commemorative flags
To be fair he tried his hardest to hand one to the 3rd biggest club Collingwood but as usual you refused to accept it, go figure?

Get your licks in while you can, minnows.

We haven't lost at the Gabba since 2004, or Metricon since 2014.

"Not really a rumor as opposed to a fact I know but think this thread is where I would put it

Trent Cotchin in early March said he would not go into any hub under any circumstances. Meeting was between a bunch of AFL head honchos and a representative of each club. Brad Sheppard and Trent Cotchin were each sides. Meeting happened once the season was called off and options put out. His narrative changed when announced it was to be a Eagles/Freo/Adelaide/Port only hub. He was all of a sudden very much for it and voted in its favour. Cotchin didnt know Brad Sheppard was present at both of these meetings and essentially Brad called him out on it in the middle of the meeting. Cotchin just had to sit there and take it"

Yeah, but Cockchin got to go back to mumsy after the game in all those instances :(

Lynch is going to make a mad dash to the Gold Coast after hand surgery today - he has to get there before midnight to avoid having to quarantine.

Not sure how he intends to do it as I assume commercial flights are out of the question.

Anyway, good to see that not all Tuggers are as pissweak as Cockchin

Looking forward to the rance return in a few weeks - but if that doesn't eventuate the 2 odd m dollars cap space will probably be invested into a mid, to join the party.

Given the tremendous upside of the group of young talls at tigerland.

In regards to afl compensation to richmond, don't hold your breath. There is a horrible anti tigers bias at afl house. With city hall doing everything to prevent richmond succeeding.

As highlighted by the b Ellis. Matty white situations.
