Not saying I want to keep Lang, but in fairness to him he seems to be one of our best performers, week in, week out, at reserves level. Plays all over the ground and gets the job done.

I could understand it if he's in the "next group" whose positions may be dependent on how active we are in the recruitment space. Tipping he still goes, but it might be later on.

Well according to this person we will find out tomorrow being: Finbar, Goddard, Macreadie, Moore, BSoS and Polson.

Again I struggle to believe that we will get rid of all our KPD project players unless we are drafting or trading for someone?

Also surprised not to see Lang go in the first 6 but Polson who played the last round.

I said it wouldn't surprise me if Dodo looked at Ben. Nor would it surprise me if he looked at Jack (as a trade).

No guarantee that Ben is even in the system next year.

It's a really tough year to be a 2-4 year player without any/much senior experience to get another crack immediately if delisted.

3rd most quarters won is huge, way better stat than % which is always a pretty good guide.

As disappointed as I was in our last 5 or so games, another thing of note is that we didn't have much of a contribution from our older players. Cripps had a very down year and Ed Curnow was probably down from last year as well. We need more, but there was some positive signs from Weitering continuing his rise, Walsh having a very good second year, and Setterfield also impressing and I thought McKay's finish to the year was very good.

I still feel as though confidence is a big part of things. Unfortunately the losing mentality ingrained in our psyche is hard to break free from. It almost felt like we were more comfortable when we were losing than when we had established a lead. All things considered (even taking into account I was hoping for more wins this year), there was progress made this year.

His lists haven't won a final for 16 seasons now. How many more coaches do you need to sack before you realise the problem is the common denominator?

I was wrong weeks ago. He convinced me he loved the place and would stay if they wanted him too. Unless of course, they don't want to pay him and are pushing him out the door.

They apparently have a severe salary cap issue that needs to be resolved this year. Which means that a number of their top, out of contract players, are going to be pushed out the door to make cap space.

A contracted Zach Merrett is worth slightly less than a contracted Kelly, Cripps or Bont.
