It was reported a while ago that are few are not happy with Big menche at this early stage. I was keen to hear if this were true but there no replys to the post.

This was me who reported this tensiona at grovedale.
Interesting to see someone else has heard this. Would be interesting if he was to get the sack next year because i am sure they would not want to loose him as a player.

They were supposed to be hard to beat last year with all their recruits. Instead of an influx of players each year, why not settle the list over a 3-4 year period, I'm sure the results will be better.

They have also lost a heap of players- O'Brien, Plowman, Hughes, Williams, Durran, Ash and probably the Albon brothers have all either retired or moved on.

Obrien is a gun and plowman is handy.. where has obrien gone.

i watched a game of gdfl once, was the most depressing day of my life...

leopold could finish 1 to 5 still undecided but they will mix it with the best of them this year.
drysdaly had a resonably good side last year and picked up well this season should go close.
corio should be back in the 5 they were impressive last year considering the huge loss of players and looked like they might have picked up a couple of handy ones.

if the rumors are true about scott hovey staying at modewarre they should make the top 5 with the new players they got with the likes of Blair Tournier & Rohan Beggs from St Marys and also Chris Jorgensen & Daniel Hermans From Sth Barwon i reckon they have a strong chance.

And i heard a rumor that Adam Donohue has been ask to play for Grovedale Seniors instead on playin footy at the falcons this year. is that true?

Highlight- that is laughable, have u ever taken the time to watch them in action?
Patrick- nearly won the league B&F last year
Plowman- skinny, but throws himself into marking contests constantly
Hughes- skills were the best at Lara when they won the flag and were the best at Barwon Heads last year

When Lara won the flag, yes Lynch was the best player, but they had some dam good players playing then, like Cam Wright, Ballans, Sleeman, Phillips, O'Brien, Suto, etc.

Highlight u seem to have an anti-Lara stance, been wronged in the past by them maybe?

O'Brien is having a year off, Plowman retired. Hughes skills around goal got him games.

I agree with u about patrick and mayb plowman.. but he was getting on. but to say hughes had best skills at Barwon Heads is not smart. He seemed very flustered during some games and coughed it up far too often.

Serious question.. if he was a handy fwd.. why was he a backman for bHeads??

Hughes played most of the season up forward, i went to most games. And although he coughed it up a lot, he still had better skills than the rest of them, which isnt saying much! )

the rumours are true about scott hovey i was talking to some modda people last night. Not sure about the Donohue thing but i would think he will be trying too play falcons.
