I don’t see why we need to give deadlines unless Oliver or a big fish is absolutely on the cards.

If it’s just Fogarty and Saad we can afford to run it down to the final day until Dodo cracks. Fogarty should in theory be seamless. The pressure is on Dodo to get his 5 deals done. Time is on our side.

I’m inclined to trust Barass70 on this one, he has a long track record of great info. Essendon have a lot on their plate and we can just sit back and wait for them to come to us, they need our pick. Am I missing something? If the Bombers are trying to negotiate what change they are giving up for Pick 8 they are acknowledging that he’s not worth pick 8.
Why we are not splitting 8 bewilders me.

If * don’t accept 18 or 19 then you’ve just given up a premium pick for 2 picks you may not really want.

In addition to that with lists reducing it may make more sense to get Saad via PSD and keep pick 8.

Getting stuck with 18 & 19 takes up 1 x additional list spot.

Us rushing a deal just doesn’t make sense unless we have something massive brewing, which I simply do not believe.

Dodo will come crawling back and you never know, we may even get a better deal than Saad + future 2nd.

Going into 2021 with a first, 2 seconds and unfortunately some restless kids will give us enough value for a massive name.

now I'm getting excited about the trade period - Willimas was a pid walk in - pass. Saad should always have been a second rounder ( to be generous ) and whoever fogarty is - is probably worth a 4th rounder judging by other trades so far...Oliver complertes the missing link- the rest are a walk in the park.

If the new team pulls Oliver to Carlton off and walks Saad through PSD or Draft or at most throws a late second rounder at Essendone as a bone - I will congratulate them as being better traders than anyone at Carlton previously.

I will leave the JSOS info for post trade week, its not relevant right now but i found interesting.
