Is there any talk of Inglewood looking for a “-“ in their name?
Bridgy or Wedderburn the very obvious choices.
Newbridge wouldn’t be ridiculous.
They might not get a 50/50 merger, but they might get a little more return on investment sooner rather then later.
Mitiamo or Serpentine are the two Clubs who might be better suited to a merger with Inglewood. Miti more travel but with most associated with those Clubs living in Bendigo it wouldbe manageable. Serpentine close by haven't Won a flag since the mid 90s and have a skinny local base and sliding further away from contending.

You'd think calivil, miti and serp should be chatting to one another in the 3-4 years, Inglewood should look at either Wedderburn or Bridgy, especially with a few north central clubs most likely looking to join the comp in 5 years, you would think ycw maiden gully could step up to the bfl in that time

Why would Wedderburn and Bridgewater who are strong in their own identity be interested? Partnerships are best formed between two parties who need each other.

See in the Loddon Herald(free at www.loddonherald.com) only Bridgewater,Maiden Gully,Marong,Inglewood and Calivil will have under 18s this season with Inlewood and Calivil battling for numbers. This doesnt make the future of the league too promising. AFLVIC must surely need to make a statement as to any future plans they have now as to the future of not just the LVFL but all football in the region. Give some direction.

Tough day for Calivil not being able to kick a goal between the reserves and seniors. Having said that...it’s the best Marong team I have seen during my time with some involvement in the club

Marong have been average at best for many years so it is pleasing to see them on the up this year. A reward for many people that have experienced little/ no success. As for Calivil it's going to be a very long year. The Demons are not the only team in the area who are facing a very long year and potentially an uncertain future.

Nearly as good as 04 old mate,
Not great to see a great club like calivil down like this, Hopefully they are more competitive as the year goes on

Looks like it’s down to 4 teams - playing an alternate fixture.

Noticed the teams selected on the Addy website just now.

there is no way Dylan Morrison can be allowed to play for pyramid hill this weekend. Granted you can’t take teams in the paper as gospel but they have lifted ins and outs from the previous week.

Tbe kid was taken from the field in an ambulance after the game had to be called off. There is a minimum 12 concussion test period...he cannot play and I’m really hoping it was a misprint or something

There’s nothing to stop him playing, with the exception of common sense.
The mandatory 12 days, is currently only an AFL ruling, which hasn’t filtered down into the country/metro comps. You would think that in the current climate, with all the work being done to educate people on the effects of concussion, that people would be thinking twice about playing the following week.
mom a side note, the 12 day rule applies from when you have your last symptoms. So if you are having recurring headaches, and they cease 9 days after the initial concussion, the 12 days starts from there.

yeah it has. The directive has gone out across AFL Victoria that the 12 days and other protocols are in force

I reckon if the games called off, common sense says don't play next week,

Not sure many blokes will take notice of the 12 days come finals time, let's hope clubs don't bend the rules, your heads far more important than a hammy in years to come, and your not going to pick a bloke who's done their hammy for finals

Marong go bang with a huge mid season recruit. GV star Brandyn Grenfell landing at Malone Park
Somewhere near the Top of his game he would be the Best Player in the League. Has kicked bags playing forward and been dominant when in the Ruck at a much higher level. Has mates or a connection at Marong does he?
