No he wasn’t

Bolton loved this kid and played him every chance he got

Has gone backward under Teague….

He was a conditional player. He'll need to work harder at another club. Issue at Carlton has been culture and unmotivated, lazy workrate for 20 years, hence we are about to be on our 6th coach in 10 years. Happy to move him on.

I did have hope that SPS would get a good run through the middle, those two shots on goal directly in front, one not making the distance, from 35 odd metres out; was for my mind his tickets stamped. Didn’t get a game after that.

look at guys like stocker, midfield bull everyday of the week. Plays back pocket. Embraces it, plays his role, puts his body on the line, now he’s a fan favourite… and he’s earned it.

what I saw from SPS off half back was a guy who either couldn’t make a decisive decision or simple didn’t know what he was supposed to do. So simply dinked the problem to the closest possible player… the decision is your problem now.

obviously it’s easy to judge from the outside and comparing two different people faced with a similar situation is unfair. But my assessment fair or unfair is he is a one dimensional, conditional player, who didn’t put his body on the line.

I’m sad for him, I honestly hope he fills out, finds his confidence, plays in a position that suits him, outside mid, and has a decent career. Good Luck SPS we barely got to know ya. All the best

Jarrod Brander for SPS?

So who does SPS replace in the WCE midfield that will enable him to the 2022 Brownlow winner that everyone is predicting?

He's going to replace all their mids.

Naitanui and SPS the only players in the square. Revolutionise the game.

That's why we want Pick 1 for the next four years for him.

SPS had enough opportunities. At some point you have to look in a mirror and blame the bloke looking back at you. West Coast will probably put him on a half-forward flank and he’ll average 11 possessions and 5 tackles a game. Kick less than a goal a game and get delisted in 4 years. We’ll see him do something special and go “Gee, what a player he could be.” Except he isn’t. He is exactly the player he was when he was drafted.
reckon this might be close to it......I never really did get placated on sps..........he was gonna be my andrew mcleod...........**** it.........he'll be alright.....

West Coast currently has picks No.10, 29, 36, 49 and 65 at the NAB AFL Draft.

Carlton currently has pick No. 5,24 and 60

I can see

West Coast Receive SPS and 60

Carlton Receive 36 and 65

reason pick 36 would be it will probably be in the 40s after academy and F|S which is an early 3rd pick overall.

West Coke win big time

When our better players get away with shit efforts it then flows through to younger players

Doesn't that show how highly he is rated?

He was a pick 6 in the National draft- wether his recent form is this or that for this or that reason - is one thing - getting the very best deal for him leaving is the responsibility of the football department - it isnt the repsonsibility of the football department to signal 'good riddance' to any asset - it the responsibility opf the dept to get the most it can - and Carlton should define what most is - not WC.

Carlton is under NO compulsion to FINALISE anything- it is up to WC to FINALISE is my point ie makes us happy to lose a pick 6 with so much potential and upside etc ertc

Jon Ralph saying that Voss is down to the last 2 candidates for head coach with Voss being preferred. He says something dramatic would have to happen for him not to get the job .... this has Ross Lyon written all over it 😂

I'd love to be able to believe this, but I'd say we are going to have to get used to the idea of getting behind Vossy and hope we are on the path to improvement.

I dont understand why Lyod felt compelled to write that Carlton woudl 'facilitate' a deal to Wc- I just don't understand why a Club woudl declare that it was not intending to match any offer from WC - Carlton through Lyod's wods have pretty much said - 'good riddance'.

Maybe the clubs have already reached an understanding and there's no need for shenanigans?

Losing some players and replacing with more quality players is not the end of the world peeps. I thought it would happen last year. 5 years of stockpiling and was only a matter of time we had some players with currency go.

It could be between Voss and Clarko.

Maybe the little master has had a change of heart.
