Barass seems to disagree

Big difference between Ross being in the mix and Ross being 90% done.

I predict Cook hasn't even called Ross yet. Get all the pieces together before deciding to reach out and dance on Ross' terms.

WCE have to delist him. They won't and will want a return. He was originally a pick 13.

If they can't get a return for him then they "threaten" going into the draft on him essentially by offering a token base contract which all parties know he will reject, to try and get the player to tell their preferred club (ie. us) to cough up something for him if we want him. It's happened plenty of times.

It's generally older long serving players that teams will delist to make it easier for their move.
WCE are not going to let him walk for free. He's a 22yo former pick 13.

They don't have to delist him until after the end of the trade period.

Ok, can everyone please stop saying Brander is a free agent. He isn't. Refer my posts above. I've seen some posts like this on other forums and it's embarrassing.

Non-Carlton related:

Port very interested in Elliot Yeo. Will take his entire salary on.

It was McLeod for Groom, not Broom and no, I can't see SPS ever reaching the heights of the Crows champion, quite frankly

Groom, broom, that’s kind of the point.

I bet freo couldn’t see McLeod hitting the heights either.

I would back B70 over my source

Yeah that source of yours sold me dodgey kebabs at 3am in the morning outside Gilligans ...

Stop it. I have no more room for any hope...

How about Samo? A lot of the responsibility for his performance lies within himself.

It will be very interesting to see how he goes elsewhere. It won't make everything black and white, but long have I wondered about how much it was the players we were drafting or how we develop them. It probably lies somewhere in the middle, but have always wondered about Samo particularly.

Uh-huh.

You draft a player as a midfielder, after they show midfielder traits. You proceed to play him in the back pocket for 2-3 seasons. Said player asks to train with the mids, and trains with the mids for the majority to the entirety of each preseason; said player's attitude to training and/or the club isn't and hasn't been questioned. He's played ones since he came to the club. He's done what he's been told.

At what point do you cease blaming the players for the pattern of pushing young and promising mids to the flanks and the pockets for their own poor development and look at the ****wit sitting in the coach's chair?
