Mitch Hinge to make his debut for the Crows in the 1st round 2022. Well done Mitch is been a bit of a tough road for you and Benny Keays but good to see you making your way now.
Not his debut for the Crows, played round 1 last year.

Caught up with Ryan Bastinac the other day (played U18 footy with him, coached by dad Peter) and he only had glowing things to say about his time with Brisbane. Said he could see the wheels turning quickly by the time he finished up with the Lions and hoped for the best.

Will play locally with Pearcedale (MPNFL - Division 2) with brother Jordan with club legend Peter returning to coach the under siege Dales.

This has made my day. Love Basti.

I noticed that Tom Cutler is still
  1. On the list at Essendon
  2. Not getting a game
I rated Cutler when he started with us. What went wrong or was I a poor judge?

I guess we should mention after last night the greatest Lions, Mr Michael Voss is coach of Carlton in 2022 and Craig McCrae is coach go Collingwood. With Chris Scott coach of Geelong it does make that 3 peat premiership side quite influential in modern footy. There is also a few of them assistants also.

I don't mean this harshly, but probably the latter in this case.

He's not hard at the ball (not a midfielder or credible defender). He's a long kick but he's not an accurate kick (not an ideal wing or HBF). He can run well but not at an elite level (also not an ideal wing). He's the type that will be better than pretty much any secondary league but doesn't have the right attributes to lock down a particular position in the seniors.

It seems like Essendon keeps him around because ultimately you still need depth and he's probably better than alternatives, similar to why we still have Mathieson on his list.

I rated him as well, but he didn't improve IMO.

I wonder what Doch and Voss’ relationship is like. Voss was cloud coach when doch was drafted and he left after two years, coincided with vossy leaving. I would still love to have Doch at the club!

Essendon should keep him on their list and only trade him if they get multiple first rounders imo. If not, sack Dodoro!

Mitch Robbo has signed with the Buffs in Darwin for the season 2022/23, plays his first game this weekend October 2022.
Onya Mitch.

Better opruon for him than trying to prolong his AFL career.

I had real difficulty trying to envisage him in a Bummers jumper.

Game got called off at half time, suspected spinal injury to one of the players. Turned out ok apparently and thankfully. Personally I don’t think it would be much fun to be playing local footy after a 200 game AFL career

You have never played in Darwin. And if you are a competitor, you are a competitor. Can't just go cold turkey.

Really? Loads of players do it. Country leagues in Vic can pay you a couple grand a game if you’re good enough. Not a bad way to go about it if you’ve got the time.

Don't half benefit lower level and country football clubs either.

Boomer Harvey kept on playing, for North Heidelberg, after he got axed by North.

Some players just have the itch to keep going.

I think it would be far more fun than playing AFL. Get to do the thing you love but all of a sudden without the pressure you had. Would be liberating I reckon

Tony Armstrong and Nathan Brown played in a Premiership with Barwon Heads

Is Tony Armstrong the same bloke that had that series about dogs on sbs ? Even if its not great show he hosted.
Yep, same guy. Ex-Sydney AFL player, transitioned to presenting sport on ABC Breakfast.
