Going to pretend I haven't had you on block for a year just for this:
Jim, because Kemp isn't ready to play that role and Dow has been poor

Little clue Jim, we can see the game
It's the ****ing VFL, he can play midfield. Dow was not poor today, he was unassisted in wet weather. Maher out, Fogarty in to hover outside due to the lack of a full-blown bullocking mid.

Can you tell me how many clearances Kemp had today?

Imagine taking zero risks with youngster's development in the VFL. THE VFL. Consider being an accountant if this is your idea of good player management.

You are ridiculously biased, to the point of logging on here and gaslighting people into thinking we are an intelligently managed football club.

Go back to your excel spreadsheet, to your basic arithmetic approach, and come back to someone else here with a body of statistics that demonstrates why Kemp shouldn't be played in the midfield, because right now you bang on about it as though it will somehow violate the laws of physics.

The irony here being we're closer to you actually dragging some of us back through time with your endless brow beating than that premise ever being true.
Having seen Kemp play a few games late last season … there is no doubt in my mind the kid is a smart footballer and has the traits … would love to see him get a regular gig at some stage

No mate, we just slap a label on someone & repeat
ad nauseam regardless of any new info, don’t u get how it works? 😂
Totally get it: they only bought 44 magnets, can't change the position labels on them now

Yet, the club improved last year and currently undefeated after you claiming before the Cats game that our line-up would fail

I suggest you remain with guessing what our players are eating, rather than trying to school anyone on this site what you think the club should be doing

Your bias on certain players is truly pathetic

I take the 'stats' in our VFL team with a grin of salt -becuse there is clearly a lack of structure all over teh park and two distinct levels of disposal ability.

Blokes playing on the 'outside' are always going to look less than could be - because from what I saw today in our VFL team - the midfield ex Dow was just crapola - so there was no way that the ball was getting to Honey in clean manner if any manner what so ever.

Greta to see Cuningham finish a game - and a few touches showed his class.

I think Akuie is developing nicely and Mirkov can certainly tap the ball - if nothing else.

I also think forward development is nto going to happen much when the only player that kicks look to is deep to Crocker - a very selfish player who doesn't ever look to give off to team mates and is playing for himself one out.

Kemp is too good to be wasted for another year as a third tall defender - he should be playing rotating between teh arcs and forward - I'm starting to get as frustrated with his development ( or lack of) s I was with the nuffies who were ruining Kennedy's career at Carlton.

I can also understand why Dopw isnt being played forward- see above comments- what is the point when all eyes are on Crocker- court pretend full forward.

Only the first game I've watched so far- but disappointed with the way players are being treated and a total lack of structure between the arcs- all makey-uppy football - what quagmire to develop talent in .

This kind of thinking is killing him, it's delusional

At the moment Kempy is defender first. Has midfield capabilities. I reckon some coaching groups get too focussed on teaching structures and the like. The bloke, and the team would benefit from some time in the middle playing an instinctive and creative role.

If Gov stays injury free and Marchy recovers(I know that's unlikely) then Kemp has more chance of pinching JSOS's spot.

& that’s the difference!
U look at it & say we are improving - I look at it & say we improved (that’s a given considering our list) but we shat the bed when it counted!

All being overseen by the AFL assistant coach of the year for 2021

Yes. I know the game. And there are multiple examples where he’s looked lost when playing forward. In juniors he mostly played as a defender. Which shows.

But - Jimmae, arguing with you is a mug’s game. I can’t be bothered being called delusional.
