Max Gawn & Brodie Grundy will be the difference in most games , brilliant recruiting by the Demons.

Come on....the guy's kicked 400 goals,he knows how to kick a goal.
Just checking where I mentioned he didn’t know how to kick a goal....

750+ goals actually.

However he is definitely just about done....and the main factor this year has been he is starting to miss goals he normally doesn’t, age has just about got him now !!

No question he has belief & confidence, just stating he missed a couple he normally wouldn’t, probably could of expressed it better though.

We didn't even try for Grundy. I got laughed at for suggesting it and yet...

Both on 7 year deals as well. Taranto is a butcher of the highest order. Hopper goes o.k. but is about a b grader at best.

File under Mitchell and O'meara.
dont like these big deals...too risky

in our team weve currently got most of the important pieces...just need to find more players like cinc (perfect example) to balance out team without spending big on cap space and tenure.

tiggies now 16th on ladder...

spent a bit on:

hopper (future 1st, 53, 63)
Taranto (12, 19, 31)

cant see them rising back up the ladder any time soon.

Bit of Hawthorns about them, NFI why Geelong doesn’t drop but it happens to just about every club

Crazy ladder spot but it still very early in season. Think there will be lots of changes in form and momentum of season for many sides before we all played 23 matches each. 6 matches out of 23, really is early.

early but it is still showing something imo...other than lynch most of their best 22 has been in the side most weeks so far.

plus add the fact that clubs go through the natural high/low cycles and you can see them declining now...very much like hawks are currently bottoming out now.

It is just club culture. When you got it, more want to come to experience it. When it lost, not so much. Cats and Swans for last two decades been doing it better than most clubs.
maybe but players also like money (like most people) so how are they getting so many of these deals done without pressure on their salary cap? are players going there for unders just to experience what its like at a good culture club? im not so sure.

oh, long term they on the decline but this season is still wide open and their list is still very good. No reason they can still not make finals this year.
The little I saw of last nights game they still looked decent.

I do not know how they fit it all under salary cap. Just decent list management I assume with Wells teaching Mackie how to continue it after he gone.

Things will change significantly during the course of the season 2023, too early to be critical and especially next year onwards . I think Tigers did pretty well with their and midfield haul, much like several other teams sourced quality and acquired expertise.
I‘m disappointed we were inert during trade period,
costly mistake.
There were very talented players available in multiple positions.

Tiges showing how good you can be and only have 1.5 wins. Competition is hard. Tiges will a Sydney rather than hawks. Drop but be competitive, they recruited well in 2021 draft. They have shown they can make deals happen.

I have my partner well trained.

Me: "Who's going to win the battle today?"

P::"What's the battle?"

Me: "Collingwood Vs Essendon."

P: "There are no good options."
