I don’t even know that I am disappointed. Have never felt that Nicks was a good coach, have always felt guys like Fogarty were way overvalued as to who they actually are.

We got an incredible year out of Walker last season and that cannot be overstated. However, Father Time remains undefeated and to expect a repeat is unfair to Texan.

You could have dunstall, modra, franklin and Ablett snr up there and they’d still struggle to score.

Ask yourself why some of our very best ball users are suddenly using it terribly. Jordan Dawson can’t hit the side of a barn door at the moment. We’ve gone from being one of the most efficient teams going inside 50 last year to losing a game where we had 13 more inside 50s and going at 29% and 31% in the other two.

That’s coaching.

I do agree with you mostly. Rachele and Rankine I think have actually been quite good this year. Both need more chances on ball. Burgess has been serviceable. Walker is starting to look like the 2018-2020 Walker but we had to know that was coming, and I’m willing to give him a pass while the delivery is so poor.

But Fogarty has been woeful. He just doesn’t compete unless the ball is on his chest at the moment, and his reliability with ball in hand, the thing that always justified his place, has gone. He needs to lift and understand that he has to lead this forward line now.

Defend with structure and attack to strengths, protect the ball and ball carrier, there is no other way to football.
